Chapter 07- Dangerous Prank
It was not taken at least month time from the start of his work, Subha got order from king to meet him. He was so afraid about this order. Because king was specially calling for him. So, he went to meet him scared manner. Sky was darkening at that time, lamps in royal palace was illuminated one after another. At that time king was tried to get his dinner. Subha went into the king's bedchamber.
"Greetings to your majesty, this subject Subha comes to meet you"
"Oh! You, come here and sit here "King said and showed a place on ground that arranged for sit to Subha. "Yes, your majesty "Subha followed the order of king and sit that place. "How is work in your place? Is it comfortable?" King asked from Subha after he sit on the ground. "Your majesty, work is very good. I am really comfortable with that. All my colleagues good with me. So, I am content with that "Subha told to king. "Oh! It is good. I am happy to hear that. "King told to Subha and started to take meal. Subha was waited till king talk.
After some time, king told "I am really tired with jokes that appear in court. They are become steady ones. So, I decided to play new prank. What is your idea about that?"
"Your majesty, it is good idea "without the idea about king's mind Subha approved with king idea. "For this work I have to get your help" King asked from Subha.
"Your majesty, order this subject. I will help you to fulfill your idea with my life"
"I don't want your life. I want you follow my order"
"Yes, your majesty. I follow your order"
"My subject, wear this cloth set first" said king and showed cloth set on a table. Subha watched that cloth set carefully and was scared. "Your majesty, this…. This … this is royal costume. Only king has privilege to wear this. How...how could this subject do such disrespectful work" Subha told with trembling." Subha, you told me to help this king with his life. Are you disobeying now? "King said with imposing manner. After hearing this Subha said "Yes, your majesty. I will obey your order" and took the cloth set and went to dressing room that showed by king to change his clothes.
After some time, he came out of the dressing room with wearing the royal costume. By looking that king told happily "Wonderful, really wonderful …really same like image shown in water. We are really alike ". Then he got up and went near to Subha and searched differences each other further. "Hey, I think this work well. You have to play prank with me" King told to Subha. "What I have to do to help your majesty?" Subha asked. "Tomorrow in the morning court we change our identities. You play as king while I play as guard. When ministers do their greetings, I smile at you. That is the signal. That time you have to tell you are not the real king I am the real king. Then I say this is a prank play with you" king told the plan to him. "Your majesty, this is very dangerous. If something become wrong, I have to get killed. Your majesty, this is a dangerous prank. Please reconsider again" Subha told with scared manner." Don't worry about that. You work according to my word. So, you have not to worry about troubles. You play your role carefully. That is only thing I want from you "king assured him. "Yes, your majesty." Subha agreed." After changing your clothes, go to your post and come to this room before dawn "king told to Subha and Subha agreed with that. After some time, Subha went out of King's bedchamber with his regular guard clothes.
The next day, before dawn Subha went to King's bedroom and changed their clothes each other and the king who wearied guard clothes went out from room and started to worked as guard in Subha's daily post. In the meantime, he asked details about other guards from Subha, so it was not much problem to him to work there. But in the room Subha waited till start of morning court trembling. He thought something will wrong. After some time, manager of bedchamber came and said "Your majesty, this is time to start morning court". Then Subha went to morning court. While he walking, he tried to keep his mind calm. He tried to show indifference. Some time later Subha entered to court and sit on throne. But his mind was at mess at that time due to this dangerous work. He told to himself "Subha, everything going to right. King is here. He will take care about that "and calmly waited ministers and other officials arriving to the court. After gathered all ministers and other officials they started to greet him.
"Long live your majesty. "
"Haa...haa… haaa…" a laugh sound ran though the hall and all tried to find who smiled that time in court. When they searching the ministers found it was a gatekeeper in court room was smiled this time. "Who dare to brazenly laughing in court room. Catch him and throw him to jail" chief minister exclaimed. "Don't catch him" Subha stopped guards being apprehend king. "Your majesty, why are you stopping us to catch this audacious gatekeeper "chief minister asked. "Chief minister, he is the real king." Subha told to others. "What? "All in the room was wondered. "Hooh...hooh …hoh …. I am the real king. You all deceived by my prank. Hee ...hee…hee" the king who wearied gate keepers' clothes laughed. "Your majesty, this is too much. You are using an imposter to prank all us "chief minister told to king. "Catch this imposter and throw him jail" another minister told. "Wait. He has not done any wrong. He only followed my orders. "King stopped others to catch Subha. After that king went near to Subha and told "Subha, you have done this work nicely. You will be awarded. Now you can go to your post now. Oh, before that give these clothes to manager of bedchamber. I will give gatekeeper clothes to you "King told to subha. "Yes, your majesty. This subject obeys" said Subha and got out from the court.
While he went through king's bedchamber, he took large breath and exhaled it while releasing weight on his mind.
