CHAPTER 22: CELEBRATION

ZANE

Today is Tayla's graduation day. I have three hours left before her graduation rite. I was in a hurry to go back to the city. Receiving messages from her when it just landed few minutes ago.

I have an hour to reach the venue. Brix is waiting for me at the front entrance. I already informed him my schedule of arrival.

I wanted to get out of the plane right away but I could not do that. I am not the only passengers who boarded. I waited my turn anxiously.

I finally relieved when I was walking out to the last exit door. I already saw Brix leaning outside the car.

"Zane"

I turned to look at my side and saw Rebecca Torne walking towards me. I did not stop because I am in a hurry. Instead, she walked fast just to reached and stopped in front of me.

"Zane, hi!" She said with flirty.

"What do you want? I am in a hurry." I said with sarcastic voice. I really do not like her. All of her are fake.

"Oh! I am sorry for the first time we met. I know I got a bad impression towards you at that time. Can you forgive me?" Rebecca was biting her lower lips. I did not answer. "Can you give me a ride?" She said with flirty again. I do not know why my mother like her that much. Well, I have not yet seen the report regarding her matter and my mother as well. I was so busy with the company as well.

"No, I am sorry but I do not like sitting with another person in my car." I told her frankly that raised her brows. "Aside from my driver. Excuse me."

I left without waiting for her to say one more word because Tayla is waiting for me. I know she does not know that I am going to be there. I smiled at Brix when I saw him. He was shaking his head and smiling at me too.

He is happy with his relationship with Hazel. I am always happy with my people finding someone in the journey of their lives. I am happy too with Tayla.

We may never talk about relationship status. She never asks me either. We just go with the flow of how things going to happen. As long as we both enjoy everything what we had.

We reached the graduation event just the exact time and plenty of people were attending. I got my perfect seat just to see her clearly from the stage when she will go up and get her diploma.

I do not know where she is sitting right now. I do not even see her at all in those rows of students wearing their togas.

I have waited for all the ceremony until I saw her walking with her batchmates forming in a line. They were heading towards the stage. Her face was happy as she walked pass me.

When her name was called. I saw her expression was priceless. I captured everything in my phone video and pictures as well. Still, she has not seen me even when she stepped down from the stage going to her seat.

When the ceremony ended, they gathered together outside the ground. Taking pictures are one of them, I waited for her to finish with her friends. I asked Brix to buy me a bouquet of flowers.

She saw me standing with the crowd and her eyes were widen. I smiled at her expression. It was priceless!

I saw her saying goodbye to her friends and rushed towards me.

"Oh my god! You are here." She said as she approached me.

"Well, I have been here since the beginning." I replied.

"Really?" I nodded.

"This is for you, beautiful." I said as I handed the flowers. "Congratulation!" and kissing her cheek. She accepted the bouquet and hugged me tight then I hugged her back.

We were like that in a few minutes before she lifted her face to me. I saw a little teary eyes.

"Thank you, Z, a lot. It means a lot to me that you are here on my graduation day." Tayla expressed her emotion.

I kissed her lips quickly. "You know that I will always be there for you and you should know that."

She hugged me back. "Well, it is time for us to celebrate." She said, smiling.

"Then, let's get going." Walking towards Brix who is waiting for you.

We were heading towards the mansion. I told Maria to cook something for Tayla's graduation. I know Tayla do not like eating outside especially in a crowded and expensive one.

I wanted to surprise her with simple celebration with my people inside the mansion. People she encounters every day in her life living with us. We were already inside the mansion when she saw some decorations with Congratulation Tayla hanging.

She froze. I was holding her waist as she was covering her mouth. Her tears were slowly flowing down from her eyes.

"Hey, beautifully! Why are you crying?" I whispered.

"I-I am just happy. Thank you! Thank you for everything." She wiped her tears and smiled at me.

"Well, just want you to be happy with the people you were working every day in this mansion." I told her. "They are also family. We are family here."

Rodel, Maria, Brix and some of the people in the mansion were there. Looking at her and smiling as they joined us.

"Now, let us celebrate another successful journey in your life." Maria says. "Come on people, dining table is calling us already." She added.

We all proceed to the dining area and saw foods everywhere. It was indeed a celebration.

"Thank you, Z so, so much." Smiling at me with a kiss on the cheek.

The night was a good memory for her since she never even mention family. I still do not know her that well. Just seeing her happy face is enough for me.

Brix approached me after my meal. We walked away from the crowd.

"I saw Rebecca stalking us in Tayla's graduation. She did not see me but I saw her." He reported me. "She looks pissed watching you with her."

I got alarmed. "I want you to assign trusted persons to watch over Tayla in secret. Wherever she goes, when she goes out of the mansion." I ordered. "I do not want her to be hurt. You saw Rebecca how she is with Hazel. A bratty attitude." Brix nodded.
