CHAPTER 21: GIFTS

Zane has been totally busy these past few days. He had a lot of out of towns commitments. And sometimes out of the countries business trips. Like today, he is somewhere right now.

I am done with my things in school. I focus on my daily duty here in the mansion. Even though he told me not to do anything anymore. I do not agree because my body used to it. Besides, I am his housemaid as of the moment. I am still earning. So, I have to do what I was paid for without being lazy.

Tomorrow is my Graduation Day. How I wish Zane will be there to witness it as I receive my college diploma. I do not have my family with me. I do not want to reach out to my so-called family.

That was the main reason I runaway in the first place. It is not yet the time to go back rather it is not the time to communicate with them. I still have not proven anything to them.

People in the mansion are my family now. They are all good people and treated me well. I do not have plan yet after graduation. I will think it over once everything is settled. Being a maid is not my dream. But working in the company or having my own small business is what I want my life to have.

I just finished my work when Rodel came in the living area. He has something in his hands. A box and a paper bag. He smiled at me when he approached me. I smiled back like I always do whenever we see each other.

I froze when he handed it to me. I was confused at it. Looking at him with a question mark on my face.

"These were coming for you." He smiled. "From big boss." He added.

"Oh!" I said shyly. As I accepted those things. "Thank you."

Rodel left me after that. I climbed towards the stairs walked towards my room. I am curious with the things Zane have for me and excited too.

I opened the card attached to it. I smiled as I read it.

A gift for you to wear it on your graduation ceremony. I know it will suit you well and carry them beautifully. I am the one who pick it personally.

Okay that was nice of him to do that. I already bought my dress for my graduation ceremony but I love the effort he shown to me. I placed the note aside. And one by one I opened the box first. My mind was awe when I saw the beautiful dress and the color that I love.

'How on earth did he know my favorite color?'

Shaking my head, obviously he knew because he slept in my room multiple times already. He must be noticed my things in here. A lot of my things were the same color and most of it were red. Three colors that I like but red is the best on my priority lists.

Anyway, I opened the paper bag with box on it too. I guess, this is the shoes. I took it out and placed it on my bed. From the brand itself, it is really expensive brand. I miss my things at home with this kind of brand. One of my favorite brands that it won't hurt my feet.

I have it with me actually but not all. So, I picked the shoes and try it on.

'Omg! I love it really love it.'

This is the newly style. It was out in the market not too long that I want to have but contented by seeing it online. Because saving money is my priority before spending it to my old hobby. I did not buy new shoes for graduation.

But now, I have it with me without spending my money. I smiled as I tried it walking a few steps inside my room because taking it off.

I grabbed my phone and planning to call Zane but changed my mind. I do not know where he is right now. I do not know if he is meeting with the someone important or busy in the somewhere. So, I decided to text him instead.

T: Hi, just to say thank you for the EXPENSIVE gifts. I love it!

I sent it just simple as that. Emphasize with the capital letter expensive. It is really expensive and I could not say it was not. I hope no one will notice tomorrow. I do not know if he will read it once he receives it or later. But it did not take too long to reply.

Z: Gifts just for you, beautifully. Thank goodness you love it. I was thinking right now if you do not like it. Rather you will not be going to accept it.

I smiled as I start working my fingers to answer him back.

T: You are kidding right? I love it…really! And it is not right to say no to a gift. Besides, I did not ask you to buy it for me. It is just a gift for occasion. The style and everything, it is perfect. Thank you so much.

Z: You are very welcome beautifully. I cannot wait to see you wear it.

After few exchanging texts, I smiled the whole time. Our relation was kind of improving. I do not want to ask either what we are right now. Like what I said before, I just go with the flow where this relationship we have led us to.

I am not in a hurry anyway. It is better this way without label. There are things I need to focus on to even though my feelings for him is something I cannot deny every day. Something I know that I am the one who hurts in the end.

If the time comes, I am sure I can handle it, right? I will just think positive whatever things will come. Just enjoy everything I have in the present.
