A hero? Me? Not a chance!

Heroes are stupid, never killing a dangerous villain... Even when the villain has committed genocide, heroes will try to "find the good" in others... What a load of bull crap. I'm the one who has to clean up after their mistakes, and they treat me like some kind of villain... Well, I am, but that's not the point. I am a villain who targets mostly other villains, and heroes are too upset about their pride to do anything about it.

2] First Encounter

(Shin POV, Shin's house)

After my ability ranked up, I spent... Way too long on the suit designs. I figured I should at least look good if I'm going to be going out in public.

[Shadow Manipulation] is really good, especially the one you get from the cursed object. My main reason for bringing this up, is because this cursed object allows for it's user to control shadows and make them into a physical thing.

Yes, this means that I will be rocking clothes made of nothing but shadows. Good news, Infinite clothes that I can alter at any time. Better news, they function like Kevlar and can regenerate with enough shadows in my surroundings.

Worse news, I can only regenerate them in an area with enough shadow.

Worst news, I have to sneak into an abandoned laboratory with monsters and crap everywhere.

I'm not even going to attempt getting NEAR that place without the ability to fling something like the Hulk a mile away. So, I'll go for it once I can easily pick up a group of people. How am I going to know if I can do that? Easy, by testing my limits on thugs and crooks.

I mean, obviously not now. Duh, what am I going to do to them? Fling a couple of spoons their way? I'm going to train until I give out, and then train some more! Doing telekinetic push ups with a chair or two should help me out.

(Twelve hours later)

"Whelp, time for bed!" I say as I wipe the sweat off of my forehead.

"That training was intense, If I keep this up for a few days I should rank up in no time!" I say with a sigh, not wanting to wait that long.

I go to bed at a brisk 5:30, before realizing that I don't have a phone.

"Great, now I have to go buy one." I tiredly meander over to a nearby store and by the cheapest smartphone they have, which is about $20... Yeah, not trusting that. I buy a $50 phone and make my way home.

If you're wondering, I got directions to the store from an old person. Also, I found a bunch of money in my desk. I think it may have been the grocery money, plus any personal funds "I" had before "My" parents aban- *Ahem* left for... Work?

Anyway, I go back home and sleep for the first time since coming to this world.

My alarm goes off after twelve hours, and I reluctantly get up. Looks like this new life is going to suck.

I get ready for school, and grab my phone.

Pulling up a GPS I find my way to the school, taking about thirty minutes.

The building is rather impressive, so much so that my jaw drops when I see it. "Holy crap." I knew it was big thanks to the novel, but it didn't go too deep into the description.

My eyes land on a single student with red hair and blue eyes, he seems excited to join the school based off of his expressions.

I instantly recognize him as the protagonist of this world, so I immediately go the opposite direction he goes. Unfortunately for me, we end up in the same class.

He looks to me as we both stand in front of the classroom door.

Atlas- "Hi, you must be in the same class I am. Nice to meet you, I'm Atlas Hokori." I inwardly facepalm at my unbelievable luck.

Shin- "Yeah, same. You can call me Shin." Not that I know my last name.

Atlas- "Okay! You can call me Atlas, nice to meet you!"

Shin- "You already said that, and it's... Fortunate to make your acquaintance." He flinches and scratches the back of his head.

Atlas- "Sorry, I'm nervous since I'm new." I wish I could record these moments so I can make fun of him in the future.

Shin- "You're fine, but I'll talk to you later." I have to find out which desk is mine. He apologizes and moves out of my way, and I go into the classroom.

As I walk by a desk, I pull out something from the inside with my telekinesis. After checking about 15 names, I finally get mine. It seems like my luck has really run out today, next I'll find out about how "Shin" was the most popular kid in class.

Hopefully freaking not, I can't deal with all of that crap.

(Hyper Human's POV, Hero association #18)

Being the number one hero is cool, although boring. With my Flairs nothing can give me a challenge.

[Superhuman Physique] Gives me super strength, speed, hearing, durability. But because of that, my other two Flairs are overshadowed.

[Flight] is something basic, but it's a very helpful ability.

[Force Field Generation] basically assures that as long as I'm on the scene, no casualties get taken.

Assistant- "This month's group of applicants are quite impressive, don't you agree?" Hearing his voice snaps me out of my monologue.

Hyper Human- "Yeah, they are indeed." I look upon the list of applicants to start hero training, when something grabs my attention. "Hey, who is this?" I point to a kid with red hair and blue eyes.

Assistant- "His name is Atlas Hokori, he doesn't have any registered Flairs." Something about this kid draws me to him.

Hyper Human- "Where is he currently at?" The assistant flips through a few papers.

Assistant- "City B5, Horizon Academy." I stand up, stretching slightly.

"Where are you going?" My assistant looks a bit annoyed, but I laugh it off.

Hyper Human- "I'm going to see what kind of person this Atlas is."

Assistant- "*Sigh* Don't cause him any problems, and don't do anything stupid." His response garners a hearty laugh out of me.

Hyper Human- "Don't worry, I won't cause any issues."

(Shin POV, Horizon Academy)

I'm so bored... It was interesting to see everyone's Flairs at first, but now it's nothing but normal school.

I sit here, waiting for the villain attack that should be happening soon. I need to be seen by the number one hero, Hyper Human. That way, he will recognize me as a "hero in training."

The bell rings and I finally go to lunch, turns out that I didn't have any friends. I need to change that, so I can have a solid alibi.

Just as I am contemplating blackmailing someone, the building shakes.

Shin- "Ugh, finally. My thoughts were getting into dangerous territory, I needed a distraction." I see a panic stricken student running away from a flying villain.

Looking around, I make sure nobody can see me. Good, nobody cares. I jump out of the 5th floor window, using my telekinesis to slow my descent

It's not high enough rank to even hover with, but I can basically slow myself to a point that this height won't do too much to me.

Landing on the ground with a thud, I try to sneak behind the villain.

Villain- "-nd because of that, I've come to kill-" I just filter out his voice as his monolog continues. I'm hiding nearby behind a tree, waiting for a chance to at least jump on his back or whatever.

Here comes Atlas, giving a speech about justice or something.

The villain starts charging what I can only assume is a Kamehameha, and I figure that this is my chance. After the villain fires his attack, I jump up to him making myself lighter with telekinesis. I kick him in the head, sending him flying.

He seems surprised about the attack, causing him to stop his attack.

"Who the-" I interrupt him by putting him in a full nelson. He struggles momentarily before remembering that he could fly.

I end up dangling from his back as he rushes through the air. Luckily, I can use my telekinesis to block the wind.

The villain ends up "flinging" me to the ground. I end up getting a bit hurt, but it's all according to plan.

The villain walks up to the crater in the ground, and Atlas gets in between him and me.

Atlas- "I won't let you!"

Villain- "Shut up kid, this doesn't involve you." He charges up an energy blast, but a voice makes him freeze.

Hyper Human- "Threatening children I see, how very original." Atlas' eyes light up, and I sit up.

Villain- "No! What are you doing here!? I thought you were in city C3!" HH smirks.

HH- "I just happened to be in the neighborhood."

I would tell you what happened if it were interesting, but it was just a one-sided beat down. The villain tried firing blast after blast, but HH just shrugged them off.

Anyway, the villain is detained and Hyper Human saved the day. He calls to me and Atlas.

HH- "You two were exceptional today, but please leave fighting villains to the heroes. You're lucky you didn't get hurt worse." I nod, smirking inwardly.

Shin- "Yes! Thank you for helping us!" I look up at him with a false starry-eyed excitement. He chuckles in response, waving his hand and flying away.

I immediately brush the dust off of my clothes and start walking home. I mean, they aren't going to stop me. In fact, they'll end up sending Atlas home as well. It's not like they can teach me anything I don't know already.

On the way home I stop by the store and pick out some clothes to start manufacturing my Anti-Hero look.

Writing this much takes so long... I would give up if I didn't enjoy the story so much.
