Tee and Michael were about to experience their first test, and they knew they couldn't fail this as it would determine the hierarchy. It followed the same concept as prison, it was a jungle out here and James wanted to see a miniature version of the world he envisioned.

He was glad he did because now he was about to see their powers and who was fit to be a villain and who wasn't.

Michael felt Tee's presence beside him, he looked over his shoulder and he could tell by his facial expression that this was something serious.

He didn't take it lightly either because they had seen his power but they didn't know the scope of it but they had enough information to discern it has some AOE kind of effect.

They had to keep their distance, Michael could usually discern the workings of abilities but he couldn't read anything from the boy before them.

"Grim Reaper? That sounds kind of silly…" Tee blurted out, ridiculing his naming ability.

"Yo, don't provoke him…" Michael whispered.

"Look at him, does he look provoked?" Tee said and Michael noticed he was indifferent.

"I can't get into his mind…" Tee informed Michael, he has been trying and that was why he attempted to provoke him to make him lose his cool.

Michael noticed he couldn't use his powers either.

It couldn't be power negation, or that lady wouldn't be dead so what was it?

This wasn't an anime where the villain would explain their powers and their weaknesses, this man had no intention of doing such and lunged right at Tee with his right hand outstretched, he was aiming to grab Tee's head but Tee knew he had to keep the 5-meter distance because if he didn't, then that could very well spell his doom.

He leaped back and with no way to attack, he was left on the defensive but Michael observed the boy that they were fighting in hopes that he could figure out a weakness.

"Hey! I could use a hand!" Tee shouted, but Michael knew there was not much he could do.

"I got it!" Michael shouted, and the moment he did, Michael manipulated a chair and sent it crashing into the boy that was chasing them, this forced the enemy to stop chasing Tee, to dodge the chair.

"I don't know what it is but his powers allow him to decay living things, he didn't disable our powers but rather our abilities became naught the moment they touched him but he can't decay objects or anything containing either energy or life!" Michael said and Tee was amazed by this analysis but he had missed one thing. One thing that Tee had picked up on.

"He didn't erect a force field, we assumed he did when he killed that girl but he didn't or you would be dead. He passed right by you when he was after me and you were just fine, he can only focus on an individual, and his range is 5 meters." Tee said, showing he wasn't just running around blindly but he was making a few observations of his own.

But Michael was worried that he couldn't figure out his power's weakness but this was simply based on a hunch, he could only figure out the weakness of powers that trigger his hunger, he had no control over it… yet.

He picked up on these things when the enemy ran past objects but none of them seemed affected and that also gave him a hypothesis he wanted to test and he only confirmed it when he tossed the chair.

He still had his powers, and he could use them on objects meaning that his powers were only affected when directed at him.

The Grim Reaper was impressed, and he just smiled at this.

"She wasn't lying when she said you both were interesting…" The goth-looking boy said.

"She?" Tee and Michael responded in unison.

"My sister… You boys have already met her," The Grim Reaper said and they soon heard footsteps from the exit door that Megan and Elizabeth had exited moments ago.

"Geez, you're so fucking dramatic, Dean!" There was no mistaking this voice, it was the voice of Megan.

"Where is Elizabeth, you sick bitch?" Michael calmly asked, he was unaffected by the revelation because she was Tee's problem, not his.

"She's fine, I wanted to see just how strong you shits were and I can't say I'm not impressed…" Megan said, her demeanor completely different from what she has displayed so far.

"You wanted to test us?" Tee questioned with a sigh, he too didn't find this offensive because they wouldn't be worth much if something like this took them out.

Dean was strong but his powers were severely limited and far too ineffective in combat once its weaknesses are exposed.

"That is right!" Megan exclaimed, and Dean just shook his head in shame, he was younger than Megan by a year but he looked a lot more intimidating than her thanks to his appearance.

"So what is your superpower?" Tee asked, they expected more of a reaction from him considering they did technically try to kill them but he was indifferent.

"I'm afraid I can't show you or I will have to kill you…" Megan said with a wink.

"Trust me guys, that's not a movie reference. She will really have to kill you…" Dean added with a snicker.

"Fuck off Dean, I'm done with you…" Megan said; she didn't like her brother befriending her company.

Michael realized at that moment he was not nearly as strong as he thought he was, but this was the reality check he needed.

But Michael also wondered why the hunger he felt was selective, he didn't even know what triggers it but this also worried him because Tee was the person 'it' wanted.

Elizabeth soon walked in with an ice cream in hand, she looked confused upon seeing the scene but it was clear that Megan had calmed her down.

Giovanni looked at everything with a satisfied look on his face, this was far better than he could ever imagine and the fact that it was in a pocket dimension made it a safe space from outside interference.

This was an ingenious idea, and Giovanni realized just how important this foundation being laid might be in the future.

James had gained a powerful ally in the form of Giovanni, a man well-known in the underworld and this meant one thing, his influence had just increased.
