Chapter 11. RAGE

So this is how my beloved Akio started hating me. I know I deserve it. We have come to the last chapter of my life. December 2010, Danuja sent a notice to Oshima which said that all the people in Oshima should leave the town before they force us to get out of here within a week. I thought now I had a chance to undo the bad happened and be a good person in Akio's eyes. I had a plan. I went Kaori's home to talk to her father.

Eito - (banging door) Mr. Yamada, are you home?

(Kaori opened the door)

Kaori - what happened grandpa, is everything okay?

Eito - Yeah. I came to have a personal talk with your dad

Kaori - (surprised) Is it about Akio and me?

Eito- (chuckles) naah, its not the right time. You go and sit with Akio.

Kaori - okay grandpa, See ya.

Eito - (enters the house, saw yamada) hey mr. Yamada, how are you.?

Yamada- I am all good, tell me whats the deal.

Eito - okay it's not the time for discussions. I will come to the point, you manufacture firecrackers don't you?

Yamada - yeah I do.

Eito- do you make some bigger ones.

Yamada - yeah I also make bombs, as in land mines for industrial purposes.

Eito - If you don't mind, I need a couple of land mines.

Yamada - what. Are you crazy, it's illegal to give it to anyone. If anything gets wrong, I will be the first person who will be standing behind the bars.

Eito - i assure you, everything will be under control. It is for our Oshima.

Yamada. - okay if you say so. I will arrange that.. Don't worry, job will be done.

Eito - thank you so much.

Without wasting a single minute, I got off from Kaori's house ane went to Arata's house (Akio's friend) and asked his father (who has a boat business) to arrange some boats back side the volcano of town near the ocean and he agreed within a minute.

From the very next day, huge trucks and cranes used to come everyday near all the seven volcanoes, when every person in the town raised questions on me that my sense has become old like me, I told them that I won't make Oshima a dump yard for those bastards. I waited for a week to pass and kept on sharpening the axe.

Week passed, the day came when I had to take my revenge and make Oshima safe as well. Danuja and Chibi entered the town. Akio stood with me for his own anger.

Akio - We will talk later, let us finish this first.

Eito - yeahh my boy.

The trucks filled with the waste material of tokyo started getting dumped in the main active volcano with the help of cranes. We saw a car coming our way. We were standing in the middle of Oshima play ground. I was holding the axe and Akio was staring at the car bare handed. Danuja and Chibi came out of the car. Danuja had a sword in his hand.

Akio - give me the axe.

Eito - what?

Akio - (anger at peak) just give it to me.

I gave him the axe and Akio stepped forward.

Watching him coming towards them, Chibi told his father -

Chibi - he will have to face me first before even touching you.

Danuja - take this sword son.

Chibi -(holds sword) let me finish this bastard for good.

Both of them, Chibi amd Akio ran towards each other to kill away. They started fighting while me and Danuja were talking with eyes. Both of us didn't even blink for a second. Akio and Chibi were giving each other a tough fight. Chibi's sword hit the handle of the axe in the middle and the axe got broken. Chibi threw the sword away and started hitting Akio with bare hands. Akio, choked him up and Chibi started suffocating. I stepped forward and stood before

Danuja and without wasting a second I started hitting him like a maniac. He picked the broken axe and striked at me, I picked the sword in self defence and sliced his entire arm. And I said "this is for my loss". I picked that broken

axe, screamed like never before and chopped off his head. Seeing that blood flowing from his chopped neck gave me satisfaction.

Chibi went in complete shock. Akio stopped hitting him as his intention was not to kill him. I said Akio, "we are not done yet, we have to save Oshima, if they put all the waste in the volcano, it may erupt and this time the entire town will be vanished"

Akio - so what's your plan.?

Eito - get on the boat with me and come with me behind the volcano near where the Island ends and ocean starts.

Akio - what will we do there?

Eito - I got some landmines at the volcano from behind, if we explode the mines at the volcano from behind. The lava, before erupting will burst and flow in the ocean from behind itself. It wont be coming into Oshima and if there

won't be a volcano, where are they gonna dump their fucking waste. We will tell the rest of the people of town to force truck drivers to get back the waste from where they came. And we will be done.

Akio - well, that's genius.

Everything went as per planned, the blast was successful and the lava went flowing in the ocean. Chibi took the corpse of his father and went away.

And the present day, I don't wanna trouble Akio now, I've decided to go away from Oshima town. Leaving this letter behind.

" My dear Akio, I don't wanna trouble you anymore. I don't deserve to live here. It's time, Kaori completes you, she looks after you. Be with her always. Take care"

Akio and Kaori woke up, Kaori requested him to come with her and sort it all with grandpa and they may continue further. Akio asked her to go at his home and wait for him because he has got some surprise for her. Kaori went to Akio's house . Akio went out of the house to get a gift for Kaori. Akio was so happy after many days that it all is gonna end well and lead a great life. He bought a beautiful ring and decided to propose her in a good way.

He came back home in excitement and saw the grandpa's letter. He read it and got emotional. He started searching for Eito. And he went into the kitchen and sat down in shock. Kaori was lying dead on the floor and the broken axe was stuck at her back. He couldn't speak anything, neither a drop tear shed from his eyes. He just went blank.

There was another letter which said -

" whenever you cut a tree, don't cut it from the stem, remove it totally from the roots. You cut the stem and forgot the roots. Listen Akio, you did your part, I did mine. You are here and so am I, I just did not wanted to disappoint my father. I won't be disappointed if you kill me now - chibi ". Akio knew that he had lost it all. All he got is loss with the revenge. He screamed. His throat felt choked up. He took out that axe from Kaori's body, stood up holding the axe and ran in search of Chibi in rage.
