Chapter 103: Tea Party

Celine, Tamamo and I could now see a violet haired girl looking right back at us with her back against the pillows, wide awake.

"Meow?", Celine said, trying to act like a normal cat while licking her paws a bit to clean herself.

"Uhh, I don't think that's going to work this time, Celine.", I retorted seeing Celine behave this way. "About how much have you heard us just now, Kloe?", I decided to ask the violet haired girl, who was none other than the current Crown Princess to Liberl, Klaudia von Auslese.

"About halfway through, I think? Is what you said just now the truth, Brother?", Kloe said, revealing both shock and interest in her eyes.

"I do not back down from my words. I really do have an interest in creating a harem, even though Grandmother had recently betrothed you to me, Kloe.", I said, explaining the truth.

"Hmph, At least you have the guts to tell her. I guess that's one redeeming feature about you.", Celine also retorted.

"Hey, I like being honest.", I retorted back at Celine.

Hearing the two of us bicker like this for a bit, Kloe let out a giggle.

"Hehe. You two are quite close. It really was a shame I couldn't go to that village with you. That is where this fox came from too, right?", Kloe asked while reaching out one of her hands and started to pet Tamamo's head.

"Kyuu~", Tamamo replied, letting her tail spin around happily again. The warmth she felt from Kloe was very similar to mine.

"That's right. Both Celine and Tama here are from that village.", I said, nodding my head at Kloe.

After I said that, I smiled. I took this time to prop up my body and proceeded to get out of bed. Feeling these vibrations, the plum haired girl finally stirred awake.

"Is it morning already?", The girl asked, rubbing her eyes a bit and yawned. This girl had also started to recently wear her glasses so she was now leaning around a bit, trying to find them. It didn't take long to put them on.

"You woke up at a good time.", I said, seeing Emma now awake. She saw that she was the last one to wake up, and immediately drew her interest to me walking toward my desk.

"What are you doing?", Emma asked, showing interest in her eyes as I walked to a nearby desk.

On it was pretty bare with a few papers, a couple framed photos, and some pens. It also had a vermillion colored laptop connected to its own orbal power source further hidden away. It actually looked like it was approaching a modern day setup.

This laptop cost quite a hefty amount of mira, but it will definitely be worth every cent. It has only been seven years since the existence of the Orbal Network has been announced. This was equivalent to the Internet in my previous life, and it's still in its infancy stage. Scarce tethered connections were scattered right now, and wifi was still basically non-existent. Even Crossbell wouldn't set up its network until two year later, which would rapidly expand how we could connect to it.

So right now, wifi was out of the question, but it won't be long until that starts getting developed, along with better combat orbments like the Enigma and Arcus units. But for now, I am only using this laptop to privately store data both for my gamer system and for what I can't store in my diary.

As for my diary, I reached down toward one of its closed drawers, and opened it up, only to reveal a violet and black colored leather book. I then picked it up, closing the drawer.

"Your diary?", Emma asked.

"Yeah. I was just going to show Kloe one of its pages, so you woke up at a good time, Emma.", I said, answering her. As I did, I opened my diary, flipping through it's pages for a brief moment.

Seeing me use my diary, Kloe took this time to get out of bed, slowly approaching my way. As she arrived beside me, she mostly saw garbled gibberish, which only confused her more. My dated entries were further toward the end. I stopped around halfway through the pages.

"Here we go.", I said, holding on a certain page. Like so, I passed the diary to Kloe.

"To be honest, I'm not against you in creating a harem, Brother. But that concept in itself comes with heavy implications.", Kloe said, taking my open diary and shifted her eyes toward the open page.

"I'm very aware of that. My desire is one that is both open and welcoming. But for now, why don't read that Kloe?", I suggested to her after explaining a bit.

Kloe nodded her head. When she started reading the current page, I could see confusion in her eyes. Then she looked a through a certain list of individuals that I currently had interest in, and her confusion turned into wonder. However, once Kloe's eyes reached toward the bottom of the page, her eyes turned wide in shock

"Western Zemuria Unification Plan!?", Kloe couldn't help but utter in shock.

The moment Kloe uttered that, it was loud enough for the rest to hear it. As for Celine, she suddenly froze while still on the bed.

"H-Hey! That isn't what you told me earlier, Naoto! What is this unification nonsense!?", Celine retorted in anger.

"Kyuu.", Tamamo also spoke out as if she tried to answer Celine.

"What would you know about, you stupid fox. This isn't the same as simply creating a harem. We are talking about the actual countries here.", Celine said, responding with a hint of annoyance.

Hearing Celine retort that, a brought a grin to my face. I then turned around, and slowly walked toward our veranda which currently had its sliding windows closed. Placing my hand on one of its windows, I continued to speak.

"You guys may not know it, but this land will be plunged into chaos soon. What I hope to achieve is but a pipe dream. But with what actions I'm currently taking, I hope it will bear at least some fruit, even if it's just a couple.", I said, hinting at the Orbal Shutdown event that will soon descend on Liberl in just a mere couple years. It was year S1197, and that would happen during the sky saga, which would take place in S1203-1194. Kloe and I will be well underway in our studies by then, but the events of sky will be here before I know it.

"I know you aren't the one just to spout that randomly...Just how much do you actually know, Naoto?", Celine decided to ask.

"A lot more than you may think, Celine. But if you really want to know the details, you can ask Rose.", I answered.

"So it's back to Rose again...", Celine uttered. As she did, Emma brought herself to the edge of the bed and leaned forward.

"Well, whatever you have planned Naoto, I am solely here to act as your support. And I want to do this, it isn't just tied to Grandmother's request anymore. I've learned a lot by just this one year already.", Emma said, revealing a smile.

"I'm with Emma, Brother. I will follow your lead. I didn't think you would bring someone like Estelle into this though...", Kloe said, revealing a playful smile herself.

"Haha. Well this plan doesn't have an official name yet and I'm well aware of the implications it may cause. If both sides aren't in acceptance, I will not force anyone.", I said, responding to them.

"Good. That is how it should be.", Kloe said, nodding her head. She then closed the diary and returned it to me. "With that said, it's well into the morning now. We should get ready before it's too late. You're hosting a Tea Party to celebrate Grandmother's birthday, right? Afterward, our yearly Royal Assembly will begin.", Kloe continued to say.

"That's right. I did send invitations to a few people I know as well. I do wonder if they'll be able to make it.", I said in agreement.

"You invited people this time?", Kloe responded in wonder.

As if on que, everyone was suddenly interrupted by an elegant yet playful sounding voice that reached their ears.

"Haha, I guess I'm the first on that list to arrive then.", An elegant voice said. After that voice said that, another one immediately interrupted them with a hint of annoyance in their tone.

"Didn't I tell you that we shouldn't be disturbing them like this, Your Highness?", The second voice said in annoyance.

"U-Umm, I hope we aren't intruding....", A third softer yet elegant voice sounded beside them. This third figure seemed to be hiding behind the first figure.

Hearing these voices, we turned around, only to see three figures now at the entrance to our large room. One of them seemed to be a twenty year old man with blonde hair which was tied into a short ponytail. The moment our eyes landed on him, Kloe and the others became shocked while the man extended both of his arms out happily. I smiled seeing him.

Right after, we saw a shorter figure pop their head out behind the regal dressed blonde haired man, who also had the same colored hair as him and was very wavy. She seemed to be an eight year old girl. The moment I saw her, even my eyes turned wide.
