Chapter 102: Celine

Year 1197, December.

The year had quickly gone by before I knew it after settling back down into Liberl's Grancel Castle, in which they welcomed me with warm arms.

Grandmother had already accepted who I was when I had been here last, which was over nine years ago. I was only one, if not two at the most.

To think another nine years have already passed since then...

That's right, I was now eleven. I have now spent over a decade living in Zemuria, to which still feels like a dream. But having partaken in several events thus far, I know it is far from one.

Many connections have been formed along the way, including many friendships.

Looking back, I have already dove myself quite deeply in my surroundings, haven't I?

If there was one key interest still remaining before I started my school life, it was checking on where my other family laid. Giliath Osborne, and the Imperial Family of the Erebonian Empire. However, if I stepped into that den right now, it would only spell trouble. Paying a sneak visit to drop off Lechter and Rufus was already pushing it a bit.

I know I was limited on time, considering I still had the Vermillion Trials main quest to complete.

And speaking of quests, I had achieved a few since I dove into the Gehenna that was the DG Cult. Besides the rewards I have gotten from drinking Roselia's blood, I did not pay much attention to other notifications at the time, but I do know that there are several pending notifications waiting for me to claim them.

Things were quite chaotic back then, but now that I have this time to catch up, going through the Gamer System that was given to me is definitely one of my tasks to do.

Completing the Vermillion Trials is definitely another task on hand. No way in hell am I letting Cedric partake in becoming the pilot for Testa-Rossa. However, I had to reach Dreichel's Plaza first, and to do that, it requires a visit to Heimdallr. Once I wrap everything up here during these next couple years of downtime, I plan to pay my visit to Heimdallr then.

But before then, where does that take me? Besides spending quality time with my family and those that I know here, I do have one other interest, which was paying a visit to Crossbell. I have not personally gone there yet, and before I take Sherryl there, it would be best to see how Crossbell is currently situated, and also check whether Lloyd is there or not. Right now, he should be spending time with his Grandparents in Calvard, so I am not sure if he has reached Crossbell yet.

Thinking of the upcoming plans after my mind stirred awake from the start of the next day, I felt the suns' rays pierce through the Royal Keep, aiming straight for our room.

And that's right, I meant our room.

Grancel Castle, Royal Keep, Main Bedroom.

"Mmm...", I said, uttering a soft voice, feeling my eyelids flutter a bit.

A rather large circular bed could be seen placed in the bottom right corner between two large panel windows that had the view of Valeria Lake behind us. These windows also had large violet drapes over them, and they were currently closed.

A violet haired boy could currently be seen wrapped in white blankets surrounded by several fluffy pillows, and that boy was of course me.

However, after waking up, I saw a few figures currently on the bed as well. One plum haired girl could be seen further off to the left quite a bit away from me in her own section of the bed, while a violet haired girl who looked very similar in appearance to me and could currently be seen relatively closer to my right, but she too had her own section of the bed. I had the innermost section.

At this time, I suddenly felt something soft strike against my face, which distracted me from my gaze.

I saw a black cat with a cute blue ribbon tied at the end of its tail nearby, curled up into a ball.

"Right, I forgot you were here.", I said, stretching my arms a bit, seeing this black cat. Next to this black cat, I also saw a silver-white fox also curled up sleeping next to the cat. Upon a closer look, this silver-white fox now had four tails instead of three tails from the last time I saw her.

"And what's that supposed to mean?", A sudden voice called out to me, only to draw my gaze back to the black cat. I saw its eyes open, only to look at me with a squint of its eyes after it moved its mouth saying that.

"Haha, I didn't think you would be following Emma around so soon, Celine. Did you finish helping Rose already?", I asked the cat.

"Hmph, isn't that obvious? I was made to support Emma. Rose doesn't currently require me so it's in the right for me to follow Emma. I didn't think she would be foolish enough to stay here out of all places though while she is supporting you.", The black cat named Celine quickly glanced over at the plum haired girl who seemed to be around nine years old now. She was currently sleeping peacefully with a smile as she held onto a pillow.

"Couldn't you have given her a separate room?", Celine continued to ask, "Or at least a place to rent out in the city itself?", Celine continue to ask.

"Well this is what Emma wanted. I didn't go against it.", I replied Celine, shrugging my shoulders a bit.

"Of course you'd say something like that, coming from the likes of you.", Celine responded, scoffing at me a bit. "And just so you know, part of why I'm here is to make sure you don't sink those dirty little fangs of yours into Emma either.", Celine continued to say as she looked my way.

"What, you mean these?", I said, only to move my hand toward my mouth a bit, showing my canine teeth. They were normal right now, as I did not have my other Job currently equipped.

"Yes, those!", Celine immediately answered, seeing me do this. "I know I wasn't there when it happened, but it's already bad enough for having you do that to Rose. And Tama won't won't shut up about it.", Celine uttered while trying not to wake Emma or the violet haired girl sleeping at the other side of the bed. As she said that, she moved her paws over her ears a bit.

"Kyuuu?", A different voice spoke out, causing us to turn our heads toward the silvery-white fox. We could see her eyes staring right at us.

"I just had to open my mouth, didn't I?", Celine said, groaning a bit seeing Tamamo now awake.

"Hahaha.", I responded with a laugh after hearing Celine say that. As I did I reached one my arms out, only to rub Tamamo's head a bit. Feeling my warmth, her tails started to spin happily around the bed nearby.

"Kyuuu~", Tamamo replied happily as she saw me do this.

"But besides that, this means the harem plan is officially a go.", I said, bringing a smile to my face while continuing to pet Tamamo's head.

The moment I uttered that, I saw Celine suddenly freeze up.

"Wait. The what now?", Celine asked back, as if she didn't believe what I just said.

"You heard me.", I retorted back at her, revealing a grin this time.

"Oh no. Nononono. No way in Aidios you just said that.", Celine responded back.

"I am being a hundred percent serious about this.", I answered Celine.

"Kyuu.", Tamamo also said as she bobbed her head as if she agreed with me.

"Wait, you know this too?", Celine asked, shifting her eyes toward Tamamo.

"Kyuu.", Tamamo replied to Celine, acknowledging her.

I then saw Celine shift her eyes back my way.

"Okay, seriously. Who all knows about this, "harem plan", of yours?", Celine couldn't help but ask.

"Only Rose and Tama know. I have not uttered a single word about it until now, so you're the third, Celine.", I answered her.

Hearing that, Celine let out a sigh of relief, but quickly realized that more trouble was likely to head her way soon.

"Ah, crap.", Celine suddenly said that, cutting her thoughts short.

"Hmm?", I also asked. I then saw Celine's gaze change again, only to move past us.

Lo and behold, I saw the violet haired girl, who was sleeping moments ago not too far away, now wide awake and staring right back at us.
