Chapter 26

The dragon began introducing herself to Seal and his group.

"My name is Tio Klarus, and I am a Dragonborn. I am from the Dragonmen Tribe. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, Dragonborn," Yue said.

"Shouldn't the dragon race be extinct?" One of the heroes asked.

"...We were never extinct. Yes, we've been on the verge of extinction, and that's why we have been in hiding for a long time." Tio said after a moment.

"Why should we believe you after you attacked us?!" Another one of the heroes yelled.

"I-I didn't do it on purpose!"

"Then how do you explain the destruct-"

"Let her speak," Yue said.

The hero was about to get angry at the person who interrupted him, but when he turned around, he closed his mouth and didn't dare to speak another word.

That was because he saw Yue when he turned around. He didn't want to have a conflict with her because she was the one who protected them. Not to mention, she was much stronger than him.

"Sorry about that, please, tell us what you remember." Seal said while he apologized for the hero's behaviors.

"Well, I was ordered to check out the newly summoned heroes by my tribe. So, I immediately set off to the human kingdom. But as I was flying, I got tired, so I landed on a cliff and took a nap."

"But while I was taking a nap, someone appeared and put confusion magic on me. They were wearing a cloak, so I didn't get to see the person's face."

"How did you see him when you were taking a nap?"

"Although I couldn't open my eyes at that time, I was able to retain part of the memories after controlled, and that is the image of the cloaked person."

The heroes who heard what Tio said had some more doubts.

"Wait, you are a dragon, so why can't you resist the cloaked person spell?" A female hero named Yuka Sonobe spoke.

"Of course, I could've easily resisted the magic if it was just any human, but I sensed something from the cloaked person—something demonic."

After hearing what Tio said, Seal narrowed his eyes. He remembered this from the novel, and he doesn't like it one bit.

He has no hate against demons. But if they are going to hurt his loved ones, then they are incurring his wrath. His loved ones don't just include the girls next to him, but also his future companions.

The heroes, on the other hand, were shocked. They've heard about demons and how cruel they were to humans but have never seen one.

"D-demonic? Was the person who tried to control you a demon?" Aiko said while her face went a little pale.

"No, I'm sure of it. That person was a human. I could sense a human aura from them." Tio responded seriously.

"Could it be that the person received demonic powers from the demons?" Seal interjected.

"That—That could be one possibility." Tio nodded.

"But who would accept powers from the demons? Did they forget that demons were our enemies?" Yuka asked.

"...They knew but still accepted the powers of the demons," Yue suddenly said.

"..." Yuka kept quiet as she couldn't deny that.

"Alright, let's not talk about this anymore and rest for tonight." Seal said to lighten up the mood when he noticed it was turning a bit sour.

"Agreed," Yue said with a smile.

"Me too," Shea grinned.

"Me three," Tio said.

The group of heroes also agreed to Seal's proposal. They then took out camping gear and materials that they brought in case of an emergency.

Seal, and along with the other male heroes, created tents. The females were responsible for setting up a campfire and managing their food storage.

Although most of the time, the heroes were still wary of Tio. But seeing that she had no more intention of attacking them, they relaxed their guard and introduced themselves to her.

Tio gladly accepted their introduction, and she again apologized for the problems she caused.

To which the heroes said that it was okay. To begin with, it wasn't even her fault.

Meanwhile, Seal was setting up the tent when he heard angry voices coming toward them. It sounded like troubles to him, and the angry voices were oddly familiar. There was also something about being careful when transporting the Dagon.
