Chapter 62

"Why are you here again Lois?"

Sitting in front of the barn door, Leonardo asked the brunette who held a box full of birthday decorations. She was just here at the farm a couple days ago and now back again after driving from campus in Metropolis. Which was by no means a quick car trip since it was basically a day trip going and back.

"Chloe's Birthday Party of course. I told Clark we will be having it in the barn." Lois said.

"I recall he said no. A man from Priston is coming to interview Clark. " Leonardo replied. "Besides, why would you want to hold a party in a stinky barn full of rusting tools, and where animals live?"

"What can I say, the barn is magical." Lois shrugged.

"I'm not sure how, but if you marry Clark you can be a part of this magical barn for decades to come." Leonardo joked.

"Oh, god no." Lois said as she began to drop the boxes on his lap.

"Well, Clark does have a few flaws such as having trouble putting his feelings into words, extreme worrying, and making the guy who wrote the safety book look like a daredevil. He is kind, loyal to near fault, creative, smart, sarcastic, and able to keep pace with you." Leonardo explained. "Just think, he can be all yours for a simple marriage certificate."

"Stop trying to sell your brother. I will punch you otherwise." Lois snorted. "Besides, he is not my type."

"Shame, if he's anything like Leo, then he is very gifted. Those magic fingers could even make a pornstar begging for more." A voice said from behind.

"Aurora, that was quick. I thought it would be a few more hours before you got here." Leonardo smiled at her.

"When I heard the Kent's were away for the night, I rushed over as soon as possible." Aurora joked. "You know it is supposed to be the other way around where you are supposed to rush over and climb in through the window. Then my parents will return and you will be jumping out and running down the street in your boxers and pants in hand."

"Please, I would just go through the front door. Your mother will just say she is going shopping or something to do for the next few hours." Leonardo retorted.

"Yeah, she would." Aurora grumbled. "She wasn't that way with Trixie's first few boyfriends. Now my sister complains about it once in a while to me."

"Well, lucky you. Now get moving, we only have a few hours before the party begins." Lois interrupted.

Leonardo and Aurora just looked at each other and shrugged. Hence, Aurora just grabbed a few boxes herself and followed Leonardo into the barn. There they began to hang up the various decorations under Lois' management. Since Leonardo didn't care much nor knew much apparently as he tried to hang two clashing colors together.

Aurora on the other hand fared a bit better but under Lois' strict eyes, she just went with the flow. To Lois, this birthday party was a very important moment in Chloe's life and she wanted it to be perfect for her cousin.

Hence, for the next few hours Leonardo and Aurora ran around the barn cleaning or moving things. Aurora even dropped a few boxes of protection around as a just in case the party gets out of control. Since the party will be full of teenagers and when teenagers gather without adult supervision, things tend to get out of hand.

--

Leaning on a shovel as he was cleaning up the stall where the horse generally stayed. Since he could guess what might happen to them during the party. For where there's excitement and horny teenagers, then any space will become a potential dance without clothes. Even if it is where animals live.

"Doesn't this just scream romance?" Aurora asked while sitting down.

"Not really." Leonardo answered. "All I can say is the girl must really like the guy to agree to such a spot. Well if it is a girl, since no judgment and all that."

"And here I was all excited to test it out with you." Aurora sarcastically said.

"Why do it in this smelly barn and not the comfortable bed inside the house?" Leonardo retorted.

"Can't. Lois vanished somewhere and Lana is currently inside talking to Clark." Aurora shrugged. "Lana was acting strange too, but she is a strange person in general."

"I won't argue with that." Leonardo nodded.

"Yeah, she asked for my hair and Clark's. Something about scrapbooking and then had the nerve to say my hair was gray." Aurora grumbled. "I don't have gray hair."

Leonardo just laughed a bit, before he frowned. If he recalled, Lana should be possessed by her ancestor who is a witch. A witch that apparently knew how to party more than Lana despite living centuries ago. Though if he recalled was just self-absorbed like Lex about wanting things that are out of reach.

"No, even if you did, you would still be beautiful." Leonardo laughed a bit.

"I don't want gray hair as I will begin to sag in places I don't want to sag." Aurora answered. "Not that would ever be an issue, but you get my point. No girl who is barely twenty wants to hear they have gray hair."

"Speaking of gray hair. I've been thinking about becoming a detective." Leonardo suddenly changed topics.

"Huh?" Aurora was confused about the sudden shift. "What about writing, painting, gold mining, helping me with the studio, and traveling?"

"We can still do that." Leonardo looked at her strangely. "Writing books and paintings are just my hobby which is fairly profitable. Gold mining I just want to experience, and I will take time out of my day to help you with your studio. By the way, I still don't know what kind you are planning."

"That is a surprise and I will have you be part of it." Aurora smiled mischiefly.

Leonardo didn't pursue it much after that. Since she wanted it to be a surprise, then he would just roll with it. He would help her as much as he can, just he hopes it wouldn't require him to remove his glasses.

"So now that's out of the way, shall we go for a tumble in the hayloft?" Aurora asked.

Leonardo put the shovel to the side and followed an excited Aurora. There is no way he would be turning down such an offer.

--

After a tumble in the hay and finishing cleaning up the barn and taking a shower to get ready. Leonardo was finishing up baking the cake while Aurora was directing the guest to the barn. In which he pretended not to see Aurora's predatory grin on a few girls as if scoping them out for a potential in her studio.

Since he didn't know what the studio she setup was about, he turned a blind eye. Though, from what Aurora had said, a few of her angel aunts and a couple uncles agreed to join for a while. Hence, Leonardo felt this studio is going to drive a few people crazy with how good looking the staff and members are.

"I hate this." Clark said with his arms crossed.

"Just relax Clark." Leonardo answered. "Stay inside the house until the guy shows up and do you interview with peace of mind. Then come over to wish her a happy birthday once you're done. Chloe will understand."

"I know, it's just that I am nervous. This is a big step forward in life and I am afraid I will mess it up." Clark muttered.

"Clark, it's normal to be nervous but you will be fine. College is more of a formality for us and if this college doesn't accept you, there are others." Leonardo shrugged. "I mean, the fortress is more of a college for us, but then again. We can't put down graduates from Fortress of Solitude College."

"Haha." Clark sarcastically laughed, but did feel better with Leonardo's words.

Thanks for Reading.

Now a few have complained that Leonardo isn't ruling the world, killing everything, or bulldozing his way through everything.

--

I will just say, that isn't Leonardo personaility nor is it that type of story. Leonardo was a average guy who found himself in Smallville, who wasn't charming nor that mature of a person before he did. While he is a bit responsible in a few things, he was a bit wishy washy in his life and as he grows, experiences more and events occur it will change. It's by no quick and right now he is like a clueless teenager all over again. Unsure what he wants to do and so he may say one thing, but might never do it or might charge full steam ahead. Since he isn't perfect nor have a goal in life he wants to work towards.

--

Now, on the side not it's about the half way point of the story. This is by far my longest story I wrote and it was only to be something I wrote on the side when I was unable to think of what to write on Harry Potter or Dragon Ball fanfictions I was working on before starting this.
