'I will do as you asked gin, that i promise..' thinking to myself as i looked at the place gin had disappeared, the particles that made him up. Floated into the air as they traveled over to me.
"Goddess.." i said, calling out to her as she appeared. Once again wearing her loose pink kimono. Making her way to where i was standing.
"Are you ok, akiro?" She asked, seeing my eyes that looked at the ground.
"Why didn't you stop him, it was my wish?" I asked, giving her a complicated look.
"There was nothing to be done, he did not wish to live like that anymore.. instead he left it to you. Remember this akiro, nothing is set in stone, not for him or anyone else in that world." The goddess shook her head, gins soul wasted no time in wanting to leave. The wish he made was set in stone in his heart when he said it.
"I didn't think he would turn it down, not when rangiku was waiting." I said, trying to figure out what was going to happen now.
"He wished for you to do what he could not, he did not want you to give up everything for him. He had already accepted, that he did not want others to die for him, anymore and to have you take his place." The goddess spoke Slowly seeing me reach out my hand in front of me. Putting my hand inside the particles that gin had been.
"I will respect his wishes, goddess could you.." I said slowly, while i pulled out a sword. Holding it close as my body started to glow.
"It is already done, i'm glad you.. well, nevermind. Come, there is other things we must discuss. Gin?" The goddess looked back at me, i was shorter now, my squinted eyes, purplish white hair and ever present smile on my face. Wearing a Shinigami robe and holding a short katana.
"Lead the way, and thank you. You can call me gin from now on." I looked at my pale skin and smaller arms. Then to the katana hilt and sheath at my side, feeling my hair as i walked after the goddess.
Putting my hand on the hilt, I felt a strange connection to it. Like it fit me perfectly and that it was a part of me. Looking at the design of the sword. It looked like an ordinary wakizashi. The hilt is light-blue with a tsuba made of two slim swirls of metal looping around the blade to make an open oval, resembling an "S", along with its shorter purple sheath.
"Strange." I said walking back into the mirror realm.
"What is strange?" The goddess asked, looking at my small body and smiled.
"This sword, even if it was gins. I some how feel it was not, like it was made for me and me alone." I said, looking up to the goddess as I sat down.
"That is because it is, his zanpakuto was the base but it is in line with your souls now. Of course it is now yours alone." The goddess said, watching me nod as she continued.
"Now that we have come to this point, is there any wishes you truly want? That wish was not yours but gins entirely, so tell me. What is it you want before going to that world." The goddess asked, watching me rub my chin as I thought on it.
"Honestly, you can create worlds right? I wouldn't mind if I could train In one for a while until I have mastered what gin knew." I thought on it, gin was powerful and I had his knowledge. If I could apply it and train to make it better I would grow stronger.
"Very well, i will do so and once you are satisfied I will send you out. Now for the second wish." The goddess waved her hand, the world changing around us. It shook as black stone, grey pillars and a dusk sky stretched for miles around.
"Thank you, I want to be born an earlier time. Around when kenpachi was born." I said, making the goddess look at me with a strange look.
"What of the girl, rangiku?" She asked even though she knew, she wanted to hear it from my own mouth.
"I will still be there to protect her, the faster I become a captain the easier." I said, smiling as I looked at her face, seeing it was all smiles.
"Very well, before we continue. Gin listen to me, I know you wish to respect gins wishes but remember something. This is your life now, yours alone.. do not forget it is ok to live. Live how you want while fulfilling your promise." The goddess said looking at my eyes that opened a little.
'You could not live in your past life, you even wished to give up your next life for another.. how about this time, you try living for yourself..' the goddess thought, her eyes glowing, watching me think as flashes from when I was a child. Then to a teen all the way up to a man and now this came to life.
'I was too caught up in the emotions, I'm really.. I'm really going to live in a world I could only dream of before. Not long ago, I was ready to give it all away, but here i am, thinking only of his wish. I'm sure he would not want me to waste my new life with only that.' Thinking I smiled, looking up to the sky as I saw the goddess smile a beautiful smile. One that could melt the feelings i experienced earlier, away.
"I will not forget, I will live.. not just for our promise. But to live as I wish with this second chance." I said, seeing her nod.
"For my final wish, I want another release added to my zanpakuto?" I asked, having an idea about the plans I would set in motion. For that and in the future I would need this if I wanted to be a force in that world of powerful beings. While wanting to protect the few people close to me I would need it.
"I understand now, then tell me.. gin, your hearts.. desire." The goddess looked at my smile grow, seeing I had already started to plan but, when looking closely, saw something else with in my heart.
"I think, I want it to go something like this.." I spoke as my grin grew more.
