Chapter 3

I hope you like the chapter and hope to see you another time. I am going pretty slow for now and giving Kouji a persona first and for most, but I want to follow the plot in most time sense. Kouji is a whole new person, and it is bound to change a few things about the story. No, okay, bye again. I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Well, Mephisto is pretty late. I mean, he never set a time; he just said tomorrow in the morning, but it's almost eight, and he is nowhere to be seen. Ooh wait, I sense his soul along with Yukio looking over. I see a pink limousine riding towards us. Looking over at Rin, he is still complaining about where it is. Mephisto is leaning over the side of the sidewalk. He backs up really quickly after the pink limousine pulls in front of us.

Rin: "Hey, watch where you are going, you fu-" he stops as Mephisto steps out.

Mephisto: "Good morning, boys; I hope you are ready for your first day in True Cross Academy," he said, smiling. "Now get in. We have time to waste onwards to True Cross," he said, jumping back into the pink limousine.

Rin: "Where is Yukio," he asked, worried.

Yukio: "Behind you, now come on, get in," he said, getting inside.

Getting in right behind him, I sit opposite Yukio and think back to yesterday. As to why I was so late, it bothers me that I got distracted and made it late. I could have stopped Rin from saying that, but what's done is done. I guess as I looked out the window. I see True Crosstown; this is one of the HQs of the church of the True Cross.

We then stopped in front of the gate to the ordinary high school as Mephisto told us to change, so I quickly snapped my fingers. I am now wearing the uniform. Then Rin starts complaining and asking me to do the same with his, but I say no because it could be dangerous, and I don't want this world protagonist misshaped, but I do need to try this on other people just for if I am in battle. I could make their clothes suddenly heavy or other things. Once Rin is done changing, we head out to the auditorium for their speech and whatever. Yukio is an excellent school representative, but after that, I follow around most of the day as he makes a fool of himself in front of everyone.

Heading downstairs, I suddenly sense Mephisto come close as I see a Yorkshire Terrier walk towards us. He grabs ahold of Rin's pants and shakes his tail. When he grabs his attention, Rin gets it and follows with me right behind him, and we walk to a stone bridge. Mephisto climbs a pole in his DG form, almost falling when he gets on the bulb. He then transforms and starts talking.

Mephisto: "How do you like True Cross so far, grand right," he said, laughing.

Rin: "Yeah, it's cool, but how did you turn into a dog? Can I do that," he said, smiling.

Mephisto: "No, you can't, and it's nice. You enjoyed your day, and you, Kouji, how was your day," he asked, smile getting more extensive.

Kouji: "Great, I had a wonderful time, just tired from all the walking," I said, acting tired as I leaned against the stone wall.

Mephisto: "Hmm~ yeah, I get tired of walking everywhere. This is a big place, but here," he said, tossing two keys in the air in our way.

Catching it, he then explains that in the morning, we will take regular classes starting next week, but exorcist classes start today, so he jumps over the wall, falling into the trench under the bridge. I jump right behind him, and Rin jumps but falls on his side. He moans in pain. He tells us to open the door, but I am next to him, so we run the closets to the door and put in the key and pens. The door is a large hall, and walking in, Mephisto leads the way.

Mephisto: "Freshmen exorcist classes are in classroom 116. This way, follow," he said as we followed.

After a short walk, we make it. He then speaks again.

Mephisto: "Well, I will be joining you for today," he said, going into his dog form.

Rin: "Okay, now I am nervous,' he said, putting his hand on the handle.

Mephisto: "Remember, once you open that door, you are an exorcist. No going back, okay," he said thoughtfully.

Nodding his head yeah, he opens the door, walks in, and gets a lot of stares from everyone.

Rin: "Hello, I am Rin Okumura. Nice to meet you," he said as he walked to a seat in the front.

Walking in right behind him, I get even more stares.

Kouji: "Hello, I am Kouji Stáli. Nice to meet you," I said, smiling.

Walking to a seat in the back, staring off into space as I pull out a pen from my pocket and play with it. I turn it into different things, from weapons of old to anime weapons, then some earphones as I plug them into my phone and listen to some music, waiting for Yukio. After two songs, I feel Yukio's soul walking in the hallways as he is a door down from this classroom. Walking in, he surprises Rin as Rin tells him what is going on, upsetting yellow Mohawk, but Yukio ignores him and continues the class, pulling some stuff out of his bag. Getting pissed, Rin walks up and grabs him by the collar. Yukio asks everyone to head outside up some people, but they leave, leaving me, Mephisto, and the two brothers. They start talking as Yukio purposely gets Rin mad and grabs his collar, pushing him. Yukio accidentally hits the vial to the floor, and the smell that they even dislike comes out as many pipes burst from above.

Many hobgoblins start attacking Yukio. They continue their argument as canon, except they added me.

Rin: "SO you know Kouji," he asked, pissed and a look of betrayal in his eyes.

Kouji: "Yes and No; I mean, I was never told, but I can feel a demonic soul in you, and I am a demon like you anyways," I said, knocking them in place as three big Hobgoblins appeared behind Yukio.

I quickly change my earphones to a gun and shoot light bullets, "Killing' them before they can get Yukio.

Yukio: "What do you mean you are a demon also," he asked, confused.

Kouji: "I see they never told you, but yeah, I am a demon but completely different from the demons of this world in many ways," I said as Yukio again shot the hobgoblins, appearing.

Yukio: "Well, the job of an exorcist is to kill demons," he said, pointing his guns at Rin and me. What the hell?

Kouji: "So now that I am a demon, none of the ties we helped you or took care of you means nothing now. Hmph, then shoot fucking pussy," I said, sounding pissed.

Rin: "Yeah, shoot us, come on SHOOT," he yelled out as he unsheathed Kurikara. Blue Flames bursts out as he "rushes" Yukio.

Running past, him, Yukio looks shocked. Turning around, he sees Rin slash a giant Hobgoblin.

Rin: "Don't kid with me. I will never fight my little brother," he said, sheathing Kurikara.

Rin: And Kouji, well, talks about this later, okay," he said, leaning against one of the disarranged desks.

Kouji: "Yeah, sure, but we better clean this up before you call in the students, Yukio," I said, looking at the classroom's now messy state.

So we cleaned it, and Yukio called in the student after WWE finished. The class continued as usual, so the day passed as usual. Rin and I walked to our dorm rooms, and what do I know, right next to each other? Then Yukio appeared and told them that we were under watch, especially me, because I am an unknown variable in all this. Inside their room, I am sitting on Yukio's bed as they work on their homework that I finished a while ago.

Rin: "So, a demon, how long have you known," he asked me.

Kouji: "For as long as I could remember when I was in the orphanage, I think that is why Izumi or Dad adopted me: all those small demon miasmas were covering when he came into the orphanage. They were really annoying at times. But it was cool," I said, looking at the ceiling as I lay on Yukio's bed.

Yukio: "So when I saw those demons and got scared, you saw them too," he asked.

Kouji: "Not only saw, but I defended you. In most cases, they really wanted to bother you, you know," I said.

Rin: "Any cool powers like you did when you made your earphones turn into a gun? That was cool," he said, looking at me with stars in his eyes.

Kouji: "Yeah, I have a bit, but they are so annoying to tell you it all. But I can do this,' I said, turning into a cat as I stretched on Yukio's bed.

Rin: "So cool, I want to do that,' he said, shaking in his chair.

Kouji: "Okay, I am going to sleep, so you guys tomorrow," I said, going back to being human as I walked out and entered my room, laying in my bed. I thought about the future. What am I going to do? I mean, follow the plot or not.
