CHAPTER 43

Cerebrus was a monster.

Monster were those creatures which were also exposed to the various energies like mana and chi.

Their bodies reacted with the mana and chi in the environment and over time they gained very potent powers.

Of course not all monsters were powerful and some were pretty weak.

They were even some monsters that gained intelligence and spread across the galactic verse.

These were called the beastmen. They included the likes of tigermen , lizard men , rabbit men, fox kin , lion kin and so on. Beastmen was only an Umbrella term to confine those races which were once monsters but went on to gain intelligence and assert hegemony across the Galactic.

Unlike the elves , orcs, orgres, goblins ,humans , dwarves , dragons and so on who had considerable intelligence from the start , the beastmen did not and only over time did they gain intelligence and spread across the galactic.

Back on Earth too some creatures were evolving with the help of these energies.

Although incidences like increased aggressiveness in animals , sightings of mutated animals were seen on nature , those news were overshadowed by the far much greater issue, the catastrophe.

The catastrophe led to the death of more than 4 billion humans. Out of the 4 billion most were young people.

Those young people had talent ranging from D to E. Almost little casualties were seen from those who had talents above D.

This also led to the fact that most of the young people now alive had better talents in general.

Most of the creatures across the universe were almost similar looking and could be found almost anywhere.

There were many similar looking lion species and some were even intelligent like the lionmen 

Humans were among the only creatures who didn't have many similar looking counterparts.

The universe had a law that almost led to just specific combinations of species to exist across the galactic.

But this didn't mean that there weren't other odd looking species.

The "Cyrisius" are one of those species.

They are mostly seen in the common kingdom and while only some were seen to be in the demon kingdom.

They had long claws like a praying mantis and their entire body was of a grey colour. Their eyes were almost scary looking and they looked far from any know species across the galactic.

No one dares to oppose them. They are warmongering species and very united species. They wouldn't even mind to offend the strongest empires in the galactic.

The crazy part is that even with less military superiority , they would win.

It wouldn't be an understatement to say that they were the most "Scariest species in the world"

Coming back to the Cerebrus.

It was soon left out of its cage.

For some moments it didn't come out.

The guard could only hear the Cereberus heaving heavily.

Monsters could be controlled by various artefacts and could be commanded to do pretty much anything.

The cereberus wouldn't attack him , as it was commanded not to.

Even if it did , he can't do anything as he was only a level 16 guard. This Cerberus could even defeat level 20 individual squad.

The cereberus slowly came out of its cage. 

The place trembled a little. The cereberus was a heavy creature and almost weighed 300 kgs.

The demons and the people from the common "Kingdom" had different auras.

While it couldn't be said how exactly their auras differed , the people almost always detest those from the opposite side.

This didn't apply to monsters though.

Thats why the beastmen were considered as neutral in the Universe.

The cereberus was commanded to attack anyone with aura opposite to the demon kingdom.

After the monster confirmed that it was let out to go outside , it didn't stop.

Soon it took place and ran to the place where it sensed the people who it was commanded to attack.

"Oh demon lord, how scary it is" the guard couldn't exclaim.

Guard who were spread across the town saw a large dog running havoc across the town. The common people saw it as well. All of them saw fear. It was a menacing creature.

They knew of the creature existence. But this was the first time most of them saw it.

The children who saw the scene were almost feared to the death.

For these past 1 year and a half , they had discussed many things about the Cerberus as it was not exactly a public secret.

They had even role plays where one kid would disguise as the Cerberus and pretend to attack the other kids.

But to see it in sight , it was terrifying to see the least.

Of course Robospierre sensed its presence and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Why is the town suddenly so shaky ?" Yerilia asked Karthikeyan.

Up until now , they didn't hear even hear sounds of people moving around. Now the ground was trembling.

"I think something is coming at us" Karthikeyan replied.

He soon took hold of his weapon.

"Be alert , we could be attacked from anywhere."

Yerilia didn't need to said twice. She soon took a firm grip of her halberd.

The trembling sound only increased and soon they could hear something heaving heavily.

At once a huge Cerebrus came into their view from the left.

"Ah , they had a monster with them? that too a Cerberus. Thats impressive for 1.5 dungeon" Yerilia couldn't help but express.

The highest level of dungeon that people were diving currently was a level 2 dungeon.

Monsters were only seen after 1.8 dungeons.

A level 1.5 dungeon at best was only considered an intermediate dungeon and almost always it didn't have monsters in it.

This was not the first time Karthikeyan was facing a monster.

"Who takes the vanguard , you or me?" Karthikeyan asked

"Huh, is that even a question ? you are weaker than me , you take the rear" with a cocky smile Yerilia replied.

Karthikeyan didn't exactly have a discernible expression.

This girl was weird after all.

Yerilia soon using her speed dashed towards a house of her right. 

The Cerberus at once sensing movements of its foes started its attack as well.

Yerilia did as though she was coming close to the monster, but once she was in the clutch of its fang , she jumped over it to the roof of the house.

The Cerberus immediately turned its head towards Yerilia. It had been decepted!!!

It thought that the human was foolish enough to come close to it and become meat paste.

Just to think that it became the fool!!!

It enraged it.

Yerilia didn't even plan to attack the Cerebrus , it was not everyday you face a monster. Might as well take some time and play with it...
