Gaara

"A small ant-like yourself wants to kill me?" Sora asked while standing on a tree branch, lining against a tree branch. Below him, Gaara stood, looking up at him with deep killing intent. at this moment, Gaara was like a beast. all he sensed was that Sora was dangerous to his experiences, he had to kill Sora, or else his existence was in danger.

Who was Gaara? and why was he like this? well, Gaara's background was complex. so, going back years ago, the Wind Daimyō cuts the village hidden in the sand budget. A daimyō is the political leader of a country. A daimyō is responsible for all decisions concerning their country, from alliances to the annual budget to the privileges allowed to the country's hidden village. Daimyō are therefore one of the single most essential individuals in the entire country and hold the highest degree of political power,

So, with the Wind Daimyo heavily cutting the Hidden said budge, the Fourth Kazekage wanted to make one of his children the jinchūriki of the tailed beast Shukaku to serve as a weapon for the village.

Jinchūriki are humans that have tailed beasts sealed within them. They exhibit extraordinary powers due to the immense chakra reserves they possess.

The Fourth Kazekage, Rase's first two children, Temari and then Kankurō, had not been compatible with Shukaku. Rasa's third child, however, Gaara, was compatible with Shukaku.

For that reason, Shukaku was sealed inside Gaara by a woman called Chiyo before he was even born when Gaara was still a fetus inside his mother Karura's womb. Gaara ended up being born prematurely and from the ordeals of childbirth, his mother, Karura, died. Before dying, Karura vowed to always protect him, which took the form of his sand which would always protect him from harm

Gaara was raised in isolation during his early life, taught ninjutsu by his father, and cared for by his maternal uncle, Yashamaru. When he was allowed to roam around the village, Gaara would try to connect with the villagers, being kind to them and offering them any assistance he could. However, being a jinchūriki made the villagers frightened of Gaara, When he was six years old, Gaara asked Yashamaru to explain pain to him. From Yashamaru's explanation, Gaara believed he did know pain, the unbearable agony in his heart.

From this, Yashamaru elaborated that physical pain, what causes one to bleed, could be cured with medicine and time, whereas the pain of the heart, like Gaara experienced, could only be cured with love. to which Gaara said to Yashamaru, that he received love every day, from both his mother, whose spirit controlled the sand that protected him, and from Yashamaru himself.

Gaara was pleased by this and went out into the village to show some love to those he'd harmed, but his efforts were met only with more fear and hate. Gaara was dismayed and went off to try and understand why he was treated as such a monster. While doing so, he was attacked by one of Suna's Anbu, whom he fatally wounded with his sand. When he unmasked the Anbu, Gaara discovered it was Yashamaru.

Gaara was devastated that Yashamaru, the only living person to love him, would try to kill him and asked for an explanation. Yashamaru replied that it was a mission given to him by Rasa, Gaara's father, it having been decided by the Suna Council that Gaara was a failed experiment that, if allowed to live, would only continue to harm the village and its people.

Gaara tried to find solace in the fact that Yashamaru had been ordered to kill him, but Yashamaru insisted, lying to Gaara that he volunteered and that he'd always hated Gaara for causing Karura's death. Karura had not loved Gaara either and named him after the phrase "a self-loving carnage" so that he would be a curse on Suna for what he had done to her. With his explanation done, Yashamaru asked Gaara to "please die" before blowing himself up with explosive tags.

Gaara's sand shielded Gaara from the blast. Having lost everything he cared for, Gaara decided that he would from that point forward live up to his namesake by loving only himself. to that end, he used his sand to etch the kanji for "love" onto the left side of his forehead.

Overwhelmed with grief, Gaara transformed into Shukaku and attacked Suna, which Rasa stopped with his gold dust. Rasa would arrange five other assassination attempts on Gaara over the following years, all of which Gaara survived. Due to his singular focus on himself, Gaara eventually learned to reign in his powers and became the lethal weapon of destruction Suna wanted him to be, prompting Rasa to stop trying to kill him and instead find a use for him.

During his years of caring only about himself, Gaara becomes infamously known as "Gaara of the Sand Waterfall". Though he outwardly appears calm, Gaara is deeply unbalanced, completely unmoved by others' pleas for mercy, and, in certain situations, driven mad with bloodlust.

This behavior is partly due to Shukaku, whose voice Gaara alone can hear in his head, who encourages violence at every opportunity, and who torments Gaara with threats to take control of his body if he falls asleep, thus making Gaara an insomniac.

But Shukaku is not wholly responsible: Gaara simply hates other people for existing, believing that so long as they are alive they are a threat to his own life. His purpose, therefore, is to kill anyone who is strong or whom he perceives as similar to himself, as only by killing them can he assert his existence.

With those who do not interest him, Gaara is typically withdrawn and silent. When he must interact with them, he does so with open disregard for their feelings and often threatens to kill them, even his siblings, if they become too much of a nuisance to him.

To say the least, Sora was strong, and he felt it. it was like a 6th sense, others couldn't sense it, but his gut feeling told him that Sora was not normal. so he wanted to kill Sora, he never felt like killing someone this badly before.

Sand exploded from below the tree Sora was on, shooting toward Sora to swallow Sora up. Smiling, Sora pointed towards the ground, lightning shot down from his finger, and took control of the sand electric field, shocking Gaara as his control of his sand was forcefully taken from him.

The lightning had some powerful power that destroyed the chakra he sent to the sand, so this shocked him, and seeing Sora take control of that sand and play with it as if it was a toy, he was enraged.

Letting out a roar, from the sand gourd on Sora's back, a sea of sand shot out, covering the sky and shooting toward Sora. but the sand suddenly dropped to the ground, as the Chakra controlling them was slowly disappearing,

Gaara stood there shock written all over his face, he held his head, it was quiet, and Shukaku's annoying voice was nowhere to be heard.

"I destroyed the side-effect of Shukaku knowing what you are doing at all times, but this connection will build itself," Sora said calmly, making Gaara look at Sora not knowing what to say. but Sora suddenly through a rock towards him, causing him to flinch, expecting the sad would hit him since Shukaku sad would no longer hit him, yet to his shock, sand appeared, protecting him.

"As you can see, you are loved. you were never alone. That's not Shukaku sand, id it was how could Shukaku protect you? your mother loved you... no, she still loves you." Sora said with a smile, stunning Gaara who stood there, too stood to say anything.

"Sleep, this is a reward. not anyone can find me." Sora said placing Gaara in a genjutsu which put him to sleep. Sora not bothering to say turned and left, leaving Gaara laying on the ground in a deep sleep.

'In the anime, Gaara was supposed to break the reward for passing the forest of death, yet who would have expected the guy to search for me.' Sora thought before disappearing into a poof of smoke, he was only a shadow clone.

well, hours passed and soon Gaara's siblings found Gaara sleeping on the ground. horrified, they quickly woke him up. after all, every time Gaara slept, Shukaku took over, they were so much in a panic they didn't even realize how peaceful Gaara looked.

Gaara hearing their cries slowly opened his eyes, and looked around in confusion, before he remembered what happened. getting up, he held his head in shock, while looking at the ground, seeing the sand, he knew everything that happened wasn't a dream.

"... Let's go." He said softly, with Sora's strength, he should have finished the exam by now, he wanted to see him once more. he wasn't in a chaotic state as before, but he could feel Shukaku wishing to speak to him, it was faint, but he gave it a few more hours and began his voice sounds once more.

the day quickly came to an end, that day, Gaara finished the exam within 5 hours, enough time to break the record which was 5 hours and 37 minutes, but seeing as he slept for 3 hours, and some of the remaining time was him searching for Sora, one could see just how fast he could have done it if he put his mind to it.

"... this chakra?" a man with strange white pupils said in shock while looking towards Sasuke, this man was called Neji, a member of the Hyuga clan, one of the 4 noble clans of the hidden leaf village.

He was about to jump down to fight the sound ninja which had managed to take out one of his teammates, Rock Lee, who was defeated trying to protect Sakura, a member of Team Kakashi

After Orochimaru's attack, Naruto and Sasuke were knocked out and Sakura was forced to take care of them. but who would have expected, that Orochimaru would have his followers wait until morning to attack?

Lucky for Sakura, Rock Lee appeared to save him, although he was defeated due to the sound shinobi's unique jutsu, Ino, Choji, and Shikamaru stepped forward to help out, but they too were of no match to these 3 sound shinobi. when all hope was lost, Neji appeared along with his other teammate, Ten Ten.

But before he could even do anything, Sasuke began giving off a weird chakra, which caused everyone to freeze and look toward him. Sasuke slowly got up, lost in the sense of power which ran through his body. strange marks covered Sasuke's left part of the body,

"Sakura... Who did this to you?" Saskure asked while looking at Sakura who was covered in injuries, the 3 sound shinobi felt unease looking at this scene, they found it hard to act. everyone's ears were wide open when Sakura ask what happened to Sasuke,

"Don't worry, I'm alright. it's only the power flowing through me. I never felt better. He gave me this gift, and he helped me understand what I am, I'm an avenger. to follow my path, I must have power at any price, even if it means being swallowed by evil." Sasuke said softly,

"Sasuke, tell. who did this to you?" Sasuke said calmly, which made the guy who injured Sasuke snap out of the state he was within, and with a sneer, he proudly announced he was the one who did it.

Shikamaru seeing as things were about to get out of hand quickly called out to Ino who had taken over the body of one of the 3 sound shinobi to get back in her body, and at the same time, Choji to get out of there. the two quickly did as he asked, and from a safe place watched as things played out.

Sasuke faced the sound shinobi, while the rest of his body was covered in the weird marks, causing his power to increase. One of the smarter members of the sound shinobi realized they were no match, but the one who had injured Sakura... well, his mother birth a guy with a few brain cells

ignoring the team leader's words, he held out his palms which had holes within him, and with a cry, he unleashed a powerful sound wave that destroyed everything in his path, and even caused those who were not in his path to attack to take cover or else they would be blown away.

once his attack was over, he couldn't help but laugh seeing as Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto were nowhere to be seen. but he froze the next moment as he found Saskure standing next to him, with Sakura, and Sasuke

With a wave, Sasuke bitch slapped him, sending him shooting far away. but he quickly got up, and seeing Sasuke making a hand seal, he unleashed another sound wave from his hands, while at the same time, fireballs shot toward him.

the sound wave destroyed the flames, only to reveal the shuriken which was hiding within the flames, he quickly blocked, while Sasuke used this chance to move in. Sasuke got behind him and forced him to his knees while he pulled the sound shinobi back, with his leg pressed on his spine.

With a cold smile, Sasuke mocked him, before he pulled, breaking the sound shinobi's arms, before kicking him to the ground. everyone watched in shock, unable to believe what they just saw, but Sasuke was not done as he turned his attention to the sound shinobi leader.

Sakura watched this scene, the Sasuke she knew... this was not him, with tears, she got up to run after Sasuke, but before she could get a few steps in, a Kunai shot through the air, landing before Sasuke's legs, causing him to freeze, and look towards where the kunai came from.

everyone followed his gaze and saw Sora calmly standing on a tree branch, looking down upon them with crossed arms, and a gaze filled with disdain. Ino seeing Sora almost jumped out, but Shikamaru pulled her back, which annoyed him

"to let such little power take hold of you, what a sorry sight," Sora said calmly, making Sasuke eyes narrow. his rage grew while looking at the pure look of disdain in Sora's eyes, unable to control himself, he disappeared, shooting towards Sora.

at this moment, Sasuke was no longer a simple Genin, no, he had the strength of a Low Chunin. His strength was not to be looked down upon. yet Sora just looked at him with crossed arms, even someone like Gaarka who had strength around Mid Chunin wasn't his match, much less Sasuke.

"Someone of your level isn't worthy of fighting me, I'm giving you enough face to even look at you," Sora said calmly while jumping to the sky, dodging the sky. his arrogant words caused everyone to be slightly speechless, yet it only enraged Sasuke even more, who had appeared on the tree branch Sora was one.

just as he was bout to kick off the tree branch to follow Sora, the tree branch fell, leading him to fall to the ground, where he of course landed on his two feet. Sora on the other hand landed lightly on the head of the team of 3 sound shinobi leader's head, shocking him. he wanted to move, but his body was paralyzed, leaving him unable to move in the slightest.

"Stop running and face me." Sasuke roared as he rushed towards Sora, only for Sora to shake his head.

"whose running other than yourself? you sound more like Naruto." Sora said which was a huge blow to Sasuke, causing him to shoot forward with greater might, and quickly appear before Sora, with a punch, yet to everyone's shock, Sora pointed forward, the tip of his finger stopping Sasuke's punch.

"And here I expected more," Sora said softly, before holding out his other hand and flicking Sasuke. Sasuke was sent shooting backward, and rolled on the ground, only stopping before Sakura, the seals on his body began disappearing as if being absorbed back into his neck.

"H-how?" Sasuke said, regaining his senses, yet Sora's power shocked him.

"so headstrong, if using force to top everything is all you know, then you would never be able to match Itachi," Sora said calmly, before looking down at the sound of shinobi below him, causing him to shake in horror.

"Not many have the chance of having me stand on them, you're a first. so, how do plan to thank me for giving you such a gift?" Sora asked calmly, ignoring Sasuke who was gritting his teeth at his words, but everyone else was left speechless at his words.

to disrespect someone by landing on their legs, and even face off against Sasuke while stepping on them, and giving saying it was a gift, and they should thank you... they didn't know what to say.

they watched as Dose was forced to lower himself, thanking Sora for the gift he had given him, but Sora wanted more, and once he offered his life, Sora nodded, as if it was barely passable.

and with that Sora disappeared into a poof of smoke, showing everyone he was just a smoke.

'he trained every muscle in his body to the point a single finger has such power, but that alone would not be enough to stop Sasuke's punch, he found the weakness behind that punch, that simple finger dispersed the power behind Sasuke's fist, something no normal person should be able to do with normal eyes.' Neji who was watching all of this play out fell into deep thought, while the veins around his eyes disappeared
