Sleepy head

Yu Chen had never really been a morning person, and she was so jet-lagged from the flight that she did not wale up until Xi Hua shook her awake.

Yu Chen blinked several times before she could finally open her eyes and looked at Xi Hua, "What?"

Xi Hua put her hands on her hips and said, "Get up."

Yu Chen sat up, "Is something wrong?"

Xi Hua: "What's wrong is that it's already 11:00 a.m.!!! You need to get up now."

Yu Chen let out a yawn and said, "It's already 11? Huh. I guess I must have been really tired."

Xi Hua said as she walked out of Chen's room, "Freshen up. I made breakfast ages ago."

Yu Chen got up from the bed and freshened up before sitting at the dining table, where Xi Hua had laid her breakfast.

As Yu Chen sat on the table and began munching on a toast, she saw Xi Hua sitting on the couch watching television and asked, "Hey, it's not the weekend. Why are you at home?"

Xi Hua replied without even looking back, "I took the day off. Who was otherwise going to look after you?"

Yu Chen replied with her mouth full, "Hey! I'm not a baby."

Xi Hua: "Don't eat too much. We're meeting Zenghai and Xia for lunch today."

Yu Chen was surprised, "Really?"

Xi Hua: "Yeah. Zenghai wanted to meet you as he couldn't come to pick you up yesterday. So, I decided to take the day off."

Yu Chen nodded as she had a light breakfast. After she was done, Chen said, "You've become a great cook Hua."

Xi Hua: "Oh that's right. You'll have to cook from now on."

Yu Chen made a sad face, "Why?"

Xi Hua: "Well you have to do something! I can't let you just freeload here."

Yu Chen said as she sat down beside Xi Hua, "Don't worry. I don't plan to freeload. I'll share the rent and all the other expenses."

Xi Hua was shocked and hurriedly explained, "I didn't really mean that. You can stay as long as you want. You don't need to share the expenses."

Yu Chen shook her head, "No I want to. And I will, you know that. Because I'm stubborn."

Xi Hua sighed and said, "Yes that you always were. But how can you? You don't have a job, I suppose?"

Yu Chen put on an arrogant expression as she said, "I don't need to have a job to earn money."

Xi Hua was confused and tilted her head to the side a little.

Yu Chen explained how she would take part in online coding and hacking competitions. These always paid money, but her laptop was always being monitored to make sure she did not hack into any government authority.

Xi Hua's head was spinning by the time Chen was done with her expression.

She said, "It was good I decided to quit coding. I did not understand a word you said."

Yu Chen let out a chuckle.

Xi Hua continued, "So, if you're so rich, you can share the expenses. Hell, you can pay all the expenses, Miss moneybags."

Yu Chen: "Hey, I still have to cover my other expenses, I don't have a rich boyfriend like you."
