CHAPTER 13

MARA's POV

I shrieked in horror as I was being held in the dungeon. The dimly lit cave and stink smell filled my nostrils.

" Nooo, please let me go, Alpha Zeev, I swear I'm going to kill you, let me go, you these lifeless guards, you're all nothing, nobody. I'll make sure Asteria wages war against this pack and burn you all to ashes."I yelled yet in another terror as I was being plunged into the dungeon.

" Elder Aztec, do something about this, you watched as Asteria was being humiliated, I'm the princess of Asteria," I said, banging my hand on the metal door.

" You'll be out on the third day, Alpha Zeev has ordered that you be put in here till then, so it's better you just settle down," a guard said from outside.

I made a small whimper out of helplessness.

" What can you do for me, I'll make sure I reward you handsomely," I said, holding onto the metallic door.

The guard took another look at me, shaking his head as he walked away.

My eyes dimmed with no hope of leaving this dungeon, I held my face in horror sticking my fingers in them.

" I'll make sure you pay for this Fenrir, Alpha Zeev will be mine and I'll make your life as horrible as it can be," I said to myself.

I fell back to the floor with a loud plop as my leg grazed past a Sharp metal on the floor.

The Sharp hiss of a reptile jolted me back to my senses, as I scrambled around on the floor of the dark dungeon, avoiding its strike.

After minutes of silence and terror, I felt the cold skin of the snake on my neck.

" Ahhh, someone help, help me, I'm being strangled, help me," I screamed running around the dark hell of Alpha Zeev, not minding the prickling stabs and cuts of the objects in the dungeon.

The sudden grip of the snake on my neck made me revolt In terror, as It tightened itself around my neck.

My eyes were glittering with tears and poked out of their socket. I fell to the ground unconscious.

The streak of sunlight rays from the bars of the small window in the dungeon shone on my face.

I opened my eyes groggily snapping back to the realisation of the place I was in.

Memories of the previous night came rushing back into my mind. The strain marks of the snake reminded me of the hell I went through yesterday.

My body trembled in the fear of staying there for another night.

" Hey, bring Alpha Zeev here, I'm the princess of Asteria, my father is going to burn this whole place into ashes if I'm not let out," I yelled banging hard on the door.

A rotten skeleton of a human was being dragged away by the guards who paid no attention to me.

" If you know what's best for you princess, shut up or you'll end up like her," one of the guards said from outside.

I held my mouth shut in trepidation. I recognized the jade on her hand well. She was the second daughter of the merchant who supplied slaves to Asteria.

Her silvery green Jade had caught my eyes some years back and it took Father to buy the same one before I gave up on hers.

A small whimper escaped from my mouth. Not even the king would be able to hold a sword to Alpha Zeev, if I wanted to get out of here alive, it's best that I stay calm until tomorrow, I dragged down to the floor not daring to make any more noise.

I laid back down on the floor to see a dry skeleton Against the wall in the distance, its head swaying to the ground just like how I laid on the ground made me tremble.

I stood up, too afraid to sleep off and die and turn into a skeleton in a dungeon.

The gossip of the female prisoners made me think twice about my actions of marrying Alpha Zeev.

" I don't think she knows Alpha Zeev is just teaching her a little lesson, everyone knows Alpha Zeev's bottom line is his wife after he brought her to the pack in his arms." One of the ladies said quietly.

" She thinks she's special by being the princess of Asteria, I bet she doesn't know that Alpha Zeev Is the most powerful werewolf in the whole pack and the strongest Alpha across all werewolf packs," another muttered to the rest of the female inmates.

" I even heard that Alpha Zeev is immortal, he hasn't aged even a single bit and all his family were killed with his own hands when he clocked 18," the last one of them said almost with no sound.

The sounds of guards walking closer toward the dungeon made the whole place eerily silent.

I dared not to look up, fearing to incur the wrath of Alpha Zeev Again.

The cold and crisp sound of a metal plate dropped to the ground.

"Alpha Zeev's wife asked that you be fed lest you die here before you return to Asteria, be grateful or your Body will have to be thrown out of Asteria tomorrow," he said harshly, kicking the plate towards me.

I scrambled round over to the plate a few distance away from me, not minding the vicious glares of the guard.

" In tens of your lifetime, you wouldn't dare to covet taking the position of Alpha Zeev's wife, " he said, locking the door hard, he walked away.

" Alpha Zeev's wife is too nice for all I know, she still even had empathy for this proud arrogant bitch, we get to eat only once in two Days and she's there, eating like a pig", one of them said harshly.

The cold eyes of the guard by the door made me shiver as I went back to eating.

"I'll make sure you suffer Fenrir, you'll pay tremendously for everything I'm going through," I swore to myself.
