Knowing that Emperor Ji had a terrible and unjust ending, I still read his side story. I was such a masochist.😢 For me, his character was the best candidate for male lead. 💜Selfless and unconditional love.💜 More importantly, he was not possessive and domineering which most of the male leads here in this app had that attitudes. I lost count of box of tissues that I had used while reading every chapter of Emperor Ji's side story. I could say, his character had the most heartbreaking story that I had read so far. I still couldn't move on. I was still hurting and crying everytime I remembered his ending. The author was so cruel to Emperor Ji and to her readers. She trapped us with a heartbreaking story.😭😭😭😭 To Emperor Ji...thank you.💕💕

I really love Emperor Ji.... why didn’t he choose to be with her? He made a choice for her. He should have given her a chance to be with him since she loves him a lot. 🥺If she’s fated to be with Si YeHan, then regardless of her being with him before getting together with Si YeHan, YeHan would still accept and marry her in the end.😤
Can I just point out everybody wanted wearing this to have a worry-free life I accept SYH. He wanted her to have a good life; and was willing (if reluctantly) to let her take on even his worrys. As much as I like ji's character; I think it is important to be an equal in a relationship. Though I admire his willingness to protect her at all costs and am sad it cost him his love. I am glad he let her go to find someone who could let her stand by his side.
The most touching moment was when he remembered the first time they met. How he fell for the most clumsiness trap and how innocent they were back then. I teared up at that part. It's the little details that get you. I am voting for EJ the whole time but I still feel like if she didn't get with SYH then it would've brought the story down a notch. Its like the tragedy of EJ is what makes this story more realistic because most wont meet their true love or maybe they lose them too soon. If EJ got her in the end it would've been so nice but I cant help but think of what would've happened to all the others like SYH and his family, wouldn't have tangtang, YWW family wouldve all died or been imprisoned. Etc. Etc. Overall. MOST TRAGIC AND HEARTBREAKING BUT A REALLY APPROPRIATE ENDING. THE PART THAT GETS ME IS THAT LAST MOMENT OF THEM IN THEIR CHILDHOOD HOW HE FELL FOR HER TRAP. I WILL PROBABLY NEVER FORGET THAT IMAGERY. LAUGHING AND CRYING AT THE SAME TIME.
