I think this means mostly for animals, like dogs and wild animals ate humans cause it was survival of the fittest. like how back then lions and bears and such ate people, and would either leave or hunt it back then but now if someone dies from an animal, most likely it will be put down, pet, zoo wild or otherwise

most say it's a silent disapproving gaze but in my mind, FZ had a peaceful serene gaze that is like a grandparents accepting/loving gaze that will never hate you, and bomber stops himself because he feels like he would disappoint that gaze. like puppy dog eyes but grandparents version lol. not that the grandparents would scold or anything after, but the disappointment after would be a bigger blow than any punishment kind of deal.

could also mean: the other 6 were something else instead of a superintelligent being. Maybe if they were superintelligent beings, they were destroyed in like a blackhole or something. Another is if they had them already but after 400 years they expired or broke down. could probably mean the other ones got dismantled for research by ignorant ppl or the ones that don't care about the AIs state like T group.
