This is extremely ridiculous. The MC is from one of the two families that are the pillars of this empire and even the emperor & officials/ministers are supposed to be afraid & respectful to the MC's grandfather & family. Even if he maintains a facade of being a Playboy, it is quite common at that time period for young men from noble families to entertain themselves in drinking & gambling halls(brothels) of course not to the extent of complete debauchery. The rest of the young masters are also silk pants as they put it yet MC is condemned like he's a serial rapist & a pedophile. Even daughters of officials that are of lesser station than the MCs are insulting him openly that too when his father the great undefeated general has been protecting the empire with continuous victories in battle(which are due to the MC in secret) and just returned from battle with a major victory which is the reason for this celebration itself. In reality they should be extremely afraid of him and run away from him if they believe his false reputation not openly insulting the only son of the victorious general & sole heir of the Ling family and completely offending the Ling family, heroes of the empire. In any other novel where there are characters that are of the MC's station/noble status are considered tyrants and everyone is afraid to even speak in front of them. These guys are usually the people who the MC in these novels offends and teaches a lesson.
omfg this author's protagonists' personalities and situations are pretty much all the same. They all have to act "low key" and pretend to be scum even though they can insta kill everyone. This bull**** low key thing infuriates me because the protagonists do this **** throughout the whole book(even when they are strong). A harem member takes taken by a "supreme expert" never to be seen until the end of the book where theres probably one line of romance between them. Fucking Ling Tian, Chu Yang, Ye Xiao, and Jun Moxie are all pussies. All of them have god artifacts/abilities but they stay low key for the sake of protecting their families.
