The poem was exquisite, even if I didn’t understand it. Honestly, the Venerables and pseudo’s reactions to FY weren’t satisfying enough, I want to see the rest of the world’s reactions now! Imagine: “Oh no, this is impossible! How could such a demon have becime a Venerable, this truly is a tragedy for all species!” “Hush, don’t speak such words, what if he comes to revenge upon all those who stood in his way before, what will you do then?” Yada yada, those types are the most fun.
Jesus… This Verdant Great Sun… The original extreme physique. So Star Constellation had some kind of arrangement with one of Ren Zu's children. And Verdant Great Sun is the one who had the power to make Spectral Soul like this. This speaks to the power of Ren Zu and his children. Even after being reduced to a soul he can still influence a Soul Path Dao Lord to this extent.
"Fang Yuan roared and made a push, eventually taking that final truthful floating ice for himself." That line felt so casual I almost missed it lel. Guess that about sums up the Crazed Demon Cave Arc. All in all twas overall an enjoyable arc with plenty of twists and surprises, Thieving True Bro Heaven's help and the reveal of the world boundary, Spectral Soul getting controlled by Star Constellation with Verdant Great Sun taking an active role (wonder if we'll start to see the rest of Ren Zu's ten children), Paradise Earth reviving through Heaven Path, Giant Sun being Blood Sea Ancestor, Limitless' revival and attainment of pseudo-eternal life yet dying like a chapter later (kek), Fang Yuan backstabbing Paradise Earth (pun intended) and in the most Fang Yuan like manner sneakily becoming venerable and hiding his strength till the end to eventually become the final winner. The only thing I felt kinda lacking were like the attack/battle descriptions lel. Most of the time whenever the Venerables or FY attacked it was pretty much just described as like 'super strong' or 'pushed everyone back', or 'all-encompassing', kinda lackluster descriptions and such. I think we've actually seen the more vivid descriptions in Giant Sun's attack methods like his 'throwing bad-luck' technique that he used on Spectral Soul or his method to cause calamities and tribulations that he used on FY. Star Constellation just had her like what consecutive star attack or whatnot lel I'm not sure if I'm even imagining that properly, like are they big stars or some tiny starlight specks that deal a shit ton of damage, like the image in my head is kinda incongruent with the described effect lelelelel. I guess Star Constellation's prowess was mostly emphasized in controlling the overall situation with her initial advantage in entering Primordial Domain, having them cool beans unlimited revival method using the Door of Life and Death, controlling Spectral Soul, infiltrating the Crazed Demon Formation and the like, but overall her attacks felt kinda dull, like I couldn't really imagine the supposed IMMENSITY that ya'd expect from a venerable. She had her book mountain method, but the description was pretty much limited to it reflected everyone's attacks back to them~, I mean I kinda get it, sounds strong and stuff but I can't really feeeel the strong if ya know what I mean lel. I guess the clearest description of the venerables power levels is when those weaker than them are affected, like how Bing Sai Chuan after getting hit by Star Constellation's funny lantern felt like killing himself, that was pretty cool lel, or when Giant Sun's familial emotion Gu affected all his descendants in Northern Plains, or when FY one shotted that super monkeh (still one hell of a badass moment) right before entering Thieving Heaven's inheritance space. Despite cultivating many paths, I don't thing we've seen much new attacks from ole FY, like he has Dang Hun Luo Po Seal, his ultimate totem blast, his uhh refine the attacks of his enemies technique, and supposedly he used a shit ton of compound moves to defend when the venerables were besieging him but they weren't really elaborated. Well I guess there's probs still gonna be a lot more competition against Giant Sun and Star Constellation from here on out and seems like they'd still need to refine their respective path's dao marks in the world, so lotsa potential still for some grand awe-inspiring, world-shaking level battles, so hoping it'll be a lot more descriptive than what we've seen in this Crazed Demon Cave Arc lel.
