Something I kind of dislike is when authors are too forced in their explanations. This usually happens the most at the start of a novel, especially when the mc is reincarnated or whatever. It's kind of annoying to be told all the time that this is because of 500 years of experience, that is because of 500 years of experience, we get it, we're not retarded, no need to keep on repeating yourself all the time and often more than once each chapter. Luckily it usually gets better after a few dozen chapters.
