He could’ve rejected him a bit better, that way he’s just being foolish I would’ve said something along the lines of “Sorry but I’m not part of your Mu family as you’ve driven mine away so I’d feel uncomfortable accepting this gift” this would still offend them but not to such a great extent as in the chapter and also make them seek the MC life as payment. Also this wording also makes it subtly clear that he wants nothing to do with the Mu family as saying this would be a gift rather than payment for working for the Mu family would distance the MC from them further distinguishing them as separate entities.
To all those who saId his rejection was to hard i say shut the f up. do u know how it feels for your struggling family to be opressed and be push lower than they are and be made into beggers without even having a moment of peace. let me say this now “a person can be insulted and kicked aside but u just cant go and treat them like your backyard dog” if a person’s brain isnt flooded with water will he do what he did. Thanks for the chapter though it shows one of the most horrible part of life.
