Ah I understand the logic but we know this will return someday to make someone powerful from the guild to attack. I think chasing would be a good idea as even if left alone they have a radar so they can hide till the guy returns. Also the guy he is chasing is carrying someone so the chase wouldn’t take long. I think the mc was being too cautious I mean he is used to life and death situations so take some risks to make sure you resolve something before it gets big. The place the enemy is from is enough reason to leave no witnesses and since mc knows along with Babata that the current guy attacking earth is part of that group means it is possible they can find out it was the mc through describing the appearance of the mc. Whatever though I get the logic it is a small chance plus it would take years for them to attack by that time mc would be stronger, it just so happens that this is a novel so the low chance becomes guaranteed so the mc has no way to know that.
