I like to point out that this is the only chapter that states that sharing can get you blacklisted. Course, that's reasonable because Bu Fang didn't want anyone else suffering from the chili that he intentionally added to hurt Sun Qixiang. However, take note that there be two people who heard of that rule that should have asked later on if that rule was really true or if Bu Fang really didn't like Sun Qixiang.

As he was the store owner, I don't think tampering with the dish was an appropriate action. It's childish, unprofessional, even immoral in my thought. You can teach him a lesson by the other way. Using Whitey is fine.

Sun Qixiang finished the entire water bag in one go before the spicy feeling in his mouth was gone. As if. Try to do that yourself, eat something extremely spicy then gulp a few glasses of water. At best it will feel a bit number and a little bit less spicy, but it sure as hell won't really make the feeling disappear. Hell, chances are that it will make things worse because it will spread the capsaicin around a little and make your mouth feel even hotter. I understand some other people make this mistake, but an author of a cooking novel actually doesn't know this, now that's ridiculous. Use dairy products or something similar instead. Geez. A cooking novel author, albeit a half-arsed one that goes for fantasy food, doesn't even know this, it's almost hilarious.
