Finding clues and progress in cultivation

Author's note: I am waiting for your comments and enjoy reading :)

While I was walking to the commander, I thought that maybe I should see what was on it. "I have a bad feeling about this, but I can't resist this record... Ugh, I'll take a look! I thought and stopped to inject mana into the recording artifact. From my mana, he lit up slightly and the next second a picture appeared in my head. I watched this recording for ten minutes, and then abruptly turned it off because of the last moment.

- Damn it! She ate his heart after all," I said, and I couldn't help but throw up. Some bloodhounds noticed my condition and came to me to find out what happened.

- In-everything is fine, I just ate something wrong and looked at the recording on the recording artifact - I answered briefly and quickly went to the commander. Others could not help but show their fear and in their thoughts was "What did he see there? ".

- Graduate, what's the matter? Why is your face so pale? He asked, and his body instantly tensed, and his eyes became as sharp as a blade and began to analyze the environment.

"Y-it's all right, Commander. I was just shocked by the recording on this," I said and showed the artifact in my hand. To which the commander relaxed slightly, but did not relax his vigilance. Taking the artifact from my hand, he injected his mana and only after 15-20 minutes the commander moved. "Just don't tell me that he watched to the end... If there is an end at all," I thought in shock, and then I felt a light weight on my left shoulder.

- Well done Cadet, that found such a huge clue - he spoke and patted me on the shoulder. From this action, I was slightly startled by surprise.

- Go get some rest, I saw what scared you, but you'll get used to it soon, - he said and pointed to a small camp.

- As the Commander orders - I answered briefly and quickly left for the camp. "I'll have nightmares about her... Although she's even beautiful," I thought, with some vulgar thoughts.

Currently on Mount Gunai

"Damn it! Come on, it's almost done... Oh, no! " I screamed in my mind from another failure. Because of the accumulated irritation, I came out of concentration and hit the bed with my palm. From the applied force, everything that was lying on the bed flew away from her. "Damn, my management! " I abruptly reached for my book and it was a miracle that I managed to catch it just a couple of centimeters from a small red spot. Before I could get up on the bed, I heard soft clapping and laughter.

- It was incredibly cute Shiro, but I have a few questions - yes, it was Anafel and she saw my desperate catching of the book. I climbed back onto the bed and looked at her.

- Oh Shiro, stop burning me with your eyes. He certainly can't kill," she said, still smiling. I could only sigh and relax.

"Why does your room smell like dragon's blood?" She asked, and I couldn't help but frown.

- A stupid question, especially since you know the answer to it - I answered her, but her smile did not change.

- Why did you hide these scars from me ? "What is it?" she asked in an urgent tone.

- When I reached for the book, I saw a scar on my arm and as soon as you left, I quickly ran into the room and began to examine my body for the presence of scars - I explained and noticed a red line on my left shoulder. "This is the scar from Reggie's sword strike... I will take revenge on him too."

- I see. So that's why you're only sitting in your underwear, but still, why is there blood? - she said and pointed to the pool of blood next to the mirror.

- I just got angry and did not calculate the strength of my fingers and pierced the skin until it bled. I'm going to collect it now - I stretched out my hand to this puddle and it came to life. In a few seconds, all the blood was in me.

- OK. Last question, what mana cultivation technique did you choose? she asked with an interested tone.

- I chose the vortex Method - I said in a slightly proud tone due to the fact that I chose such a complex method. To which Anafel frowned and said.

- There are simpler methods, but you decided to cultivate the Vortex Method? It's such a three-stage hemorrhoid that almost no one uses it - she criticized, but quickly added - But Shiro, I'm not saying that you chose the wrong method, I'm just worried about you, because it will take at least a year to advance on this method and this is only the first stage. And you don't even have any experience in cultivation," she explained.

"She's telling the truth that I don't have enough experience, but I'm making progress and I'm happy to learn quickly," I reflected on Anafel's words.

"You're right, Anafel, but I have the first fruits in cultivation. I almost managed to complete the first stage, I said, and the reaction was not long in coming. Anafel had a shocked face that I remembered for the rest of my life and her mouth was open from my statement. My eyes expressed pride and confidence, as only they could express something.

- Shiro, you are a great fellow that you have made great progress, but I will tell you that after long periods of cultivation, the human body is severely depleted - and as soon as she told me this, I was attacked by a huge pain that I grabbed my head and my stomach. "Damn it! How could I forget about such a simple thing as exhaustion," I swore at myself, but then I saw two objects at my feet.

One was already familiar to me, and the other was some kind of stone. Its texture was smooth and it shimmered with different colors, and most importantly, the stone radiated mana. I took a bottle with a potion restoring mental energy and drank it.

- This is the first lesson - absorb mana from the magic stone - I heard Anafel's voice and she turned around and left me alone with the magic stone. As soon as the pain in my head subsided and my sea of consciousness began to restore mental energy, I began to examine the magic stone.

- The size of half of my palm, it doesn't smell at all, and the most delicious thing is that it secretes mana - I analyzed and already wanted to take a bite out of it, but something stopped me. "If I break the integrity of the stone, won't it lose more mana than if I used some method? Maybe the manual has a way to extract mana without loss? " I thought and started looking for the information I needed. After a long five minutes, I found nothing about extracting mana from a magic stone.

- Is this some kind of super secret technique that it is not in the manual for novice magicians. In any novel there was a method for extraction, and here I understand it myself. The same to me teacher! - I spoke in a very upset tone and slowly rubbed my tummy due to lack of mana. "Should I try using the first stage of the Vortex Method? It's worth a try, but why didn't it occur to me right away. The future me was right to say that the current me is stupid."

Sitting in the lotus position and placing the stone on my palm, I started doing the same things as during cultivation, but I wanted them to connect with the mana flows of the magic stone. At the same time, I used only mental energy. "So, let's get started... Your mother! I thought in fright and quickly stopped the process of merging. Before my mental energy merged with the mana of the magic stone, my instincts signaled an unnamed death to my consciousness.

"There is another idea... I will still need to go to the first stage of the vortex Method," I analyzed with deep irritation because of this feeling of unnamed doom. This somehow stimulated me and with great effort I was able to connect the two energies into one simple thin thread, but before I had time to celebrate my little victory, I was taken out of concentration by continuous pain. "Bitch, I feel too bad for lack of mana... *Vortex Method first stage: fusion* " And a thin thread of gray, blue and with small shades of red appeared in my body. She was incredibly unstable, but that should be enough for me. I stretched this thread to the edge of the magic stone and what I've been waiting for happened. " Mana is replenished... but some mana is lost. I don't care, the main thing for me is to restore mana," I thought fleetingly and focused on replenishing mana.
