Mr. Perfect

"What do you think?" Gulf asked his finger pointing the poster in their school's bulletin board.

Maggie was holding a bunch of folders to be brought to the principal's office. She was on the errand when Gulf pulled her towards the board.

'This better be good or I'll be delayed.' Maggie shaked her head.

Maggie looked at it intently to comprehend the poster's advocacy that she can't seem to grasp.

She smirked as her hand holding her chin. "Don't you think this is too straightforward?"

Holding a big laugh about the poster's advocacy to donate blood next month. Gulf has his left eyebrow up quizzically looking at Maggie's face.

He take a look in the poster once more. "Of course it is." He snapped his fingers.

Facing himself to Maggie with his bright eyes.

"Tell me Maggie, what is the best efficient way to convince students other than being straightforward about the cause."

Maggie couldn't agree more. In spite of it, she can't hold her laughter anymore. She laughed.

"But do you really have to bold this quotation!" She pointed. Gulf looked at it also.

"It says 'Open your wounds to donate blood next month' really dude oh my god." She laughed hysterically.

Gulf chuckled at Maggie's expression. It was a comfortable sight to watch. She is so approachable and carefree to be with.

"But I won, that's why my work is here." He said between chuckles. Maggie calmed down.

"It's so creative that its so unfair. Our work didn't take their place here." She said pouting. Of course it is ridicule to compare each other's work, so she didn't took it seriously.

"That's because your poster was too serious." As he pointed Maggie's forehead before taking some folders with him to carry.

He noticed Maggie has difficulty in holding so much folders. 'From the looks of this, she was heading towards the office.' He thought.

"Who was your partner again?" He asked now facing Maggie in lieu of the bulletin board. "Oh it was Nathan Chan, you know him for sure."

He titter. Oh that brainiac, of course. "Sure, he is a total brainerd. He's a good guy anyway." He shrugged.

Slowly taking their paces on the distance all the way to the office. Gulf can't seem to explicit the sudden kindness of helping today.

"Yes, he personally approached me to become his partner." Maggie said pointing the poster at the back. Gulf eyes were in shock.

"He did??" Whoa what an audacious gink Nathan is, is he making a move on Maggie? Gulf felt threatened.

In response, she nodded her head. "Was the time he spent with you good?" Gulf became inquisitive. Maggie turned her head to look at him.

"Uh yes why wouldn't be. Besides its for the poster campaign anyway." She nudged him by the elbow playfully.

He look at places his eyes can take him. He is oddly quiet and Maggie sensed that.

"Say, who was your partner?" Maggie asked this time, to lift the breeze somehow.

Gulf tighten his hold on the folders, trying so hard to sound unbroken. "Just me."

Her eyes widened with both pity and surprise. They are 43 in total in the classroom so how-

"You should've told me or your friends. That's so unfair. You could've been in a trio." Maggie outbursts even stopped to face Gulf, he snickered.

"It's fine geez. Or else I wouldn't have won against you all." He proudly said, walking ahead and left Maggie. Speechless was her.

"Hey! wait up." She ran. There's something about Gulf that made him so cool and unbothered, I am intrigued. Maggie admitted.

Whilst Gulf, he couldn't be any better.

Staring at the window, Nathan was compiling the papers next to the office. Mr. Xian asked him to. He heard noises coming from outside.

It was bickering and laughter of two people. He shrugged thinking that it got nothing to do with his business. "Almost done Nathan?"

"I am sir." He smiled. Aiding on assistance in arranging the school files. "You may now go once you're finished." Mr. Xian said.

What a diligent child. He even whispered.

"Wow that's very humble you." Maggie rolled her eyes. "Well thank you Yurim."

"That was sarcasm Leo." And spank Gulf on the arm with the folders she brought.

They were like two enraged birds fighting over breadcrumbs. They laughed altogether.

"Miss Song, are these the folders Mrs. Fallhan instructed you to bring?" Mr. Xian received the folders from both Maggie and Gulf.

Gulf bowed good morning. "Yes Mr. Xian, she told me these are the previous activities last year. She thought that it might help."

"This really do help." Putting aside the folders. "Why don't you guys come in." Mr. Xiao said.

"Oh my god there is no need-" Maggie was about to say.

"Don't mind if I do Mr. Principal." Gulf entered the office happily and Maggie followed without any choice not to.

Maggie went in then she locked gazes with Nathan who was about to approach the door.

"Maggie what were you doing here?" He brightly smiled. Loss of words, Maggie eventually spoke.

"Oh I came to bring the folders Mrs. Fallhan instructed me." Maggie replied, playing with her hair.

In her peripheral vision, Gulf was looking at them. Probably bored, she thought.

"I should get going." And tapped on Maggie's shoulder. A blood rush reddened her cheeks.

"Good day Mr. Xian." And left the office needlessly saying any more words.

Maggie is seated in the couch. She notice Gulf is yawning and pouted. She giggled.

God Nathan couldn't possibly be handsome and charming altogether. I hate to admit.

Gulf notice her eyes are darting him. "What?"

"Oh nothing, you look so peaceful yet tired." Her face laying in her arms and arms on the couch. Gulf can't help but stare back.

"Done talking with Mr. Perfect?" He added. Maggie shrugged and lay her head against the couch. She was feeling sleepy.

"What do you mean Mr. Perfect?" She asked.

"Do you think he's perfect?" She added however visioning Nathan in the locks of daydreams. He is so fine, She thought.

Gulf tilted his head only to stare at Maggie's well-being who is half asleep and half awake.

"No I don't." He replied. It's unexplainable why he felt this way when its only days since he knew her.

Was I jealous at some point? He thought. He shrug and hoping to shrug the thought as well.

"No one is perfect okay. Don't speak about such silly things." Maggie yawns.

Oblivious about being alone together. Maggie closes her eyes to sleep. She is at comfort. And no one dare to break it even him.

"Students can you wait for me as I return-" Mr. Xian stopped speaking as he looked at Miss Song's situation.

Gulf stood up to hear his words. "I was about to ask a favor to stay in my office until I return but looks like you both still have classes to attend you may now leave." Mr. Xian said.

"We will await your return sir for it is alright its near dismissal time anyway." Gulf reassured.

Mr. Xian tilted his head to acknowledge the time that was hanging in the white wall.

3:55 pm. 5 minutes till the bell will ring.

"Okay as you may." Mr. Xian shook his head, convinced. As he left the office swiftly.

He sat down and rested his head as well before following the urge to ogle innocently at Maggie Yurim's peaceful face.

He took the time to admire her face. Her fair toned skin, long eyelashes, soft cheeks, and peach lips. Along with it is her captivating jet black hair, with minted scent.

How can be this girl be pretty and act with simplicity. It's merely impossible, He thought.

He kept his hands to himself and quietly not to startle Maggie's cat nap. He smiled sweetly.

"Don't you have any business than just staring at me?"
