"Maggie is there something between the both of you?" Jinky asked for about the 5th time around whereas Carol is waiting for her response.

Maggie didn't know what to respond so she faked a cough.

It was unknown on why is she keeping it and not telling it.

Jinky grabbed both her shoulders and shaked her. "Why did you said yes and not pick me?"

Jinky pouted and Maggie can't stand to make a laugh out of it. "If I did then Carol would be alone." She looked at Carol and she nodded.

"Don't you wanna be partners with me Jink?" Carol asked with self-pity.

Gosh she is so soft spoken.

"I do!! Yes that would be a so awesome and great." Jinky said grabbing on Carol's shoulder as well and convincing her.

Carol chuckled and felt relief. Maggie giggled too, silently dodging Jinky's questions.

"But I don't understand why Maggie have to team up with that football jock." Jinky says as she simultaneously looked at Nathan's direction.

Nathan had a hunch that there was looking at him that's why he met Jinky's squinting eyes in exchange.

Like it was saying, What kind of guy are you to be partners with my bestie.

Carol and Maggie just chuckled at Jinky's facial hideous expression.

She looked like she want to throw a fit on Nathan.

Jinky was too sturdy and serious to be swayed by these two girls laughing. She crossed her arms, and smiled.

Looking from the back, Gulf has his legs up on the desk, contemplating if he should return the book Maggie was searching for last night.

No I don't think she needs it, he thought. He looked at her direction then tried to look away.

However, his eyes would always subconsciously looks at direction, acknowledging her bright and vibrant vibe.

Like he was some moth drawn to the flame. The flame who he barely knew and intrigued him.

What's with this girl she's always composed, he thought.

Replaying the flashback yesterday, the reason why Maggie left her book with him its because she used it to spank him out of surprise that she dropped it unknowingly.

He smiled and tousled his hair. It was too brazen and late of her to still find it last night.

"Gulf my dude, are you joining the arts club this school year?" Jasper approached him along with Jade his twin.

"I still have to add some thought about it."

"Also I might take interest in joining the football league as well." He shrugged and subconsciously looked at Maggie's direction.

"Football??" Jade was surprised. "Dude I thought you quit years ago, was your mom pushing you into it again?" Jasper asked.

He fixed his attention to look at his two henchmen. What a trio they may be.

"Yes she still is, but its my reason now." Gulf said fidgeting on his pen. The twins looked at each other with still shock.

Gulf never wanted soccer, he didn't even wish to know soccer or play soccer. It was his Mom who wanted it for him since he was the obedient one among his four brothers.

Pressure built him even in his younger years ever since he knew how to kick a ball so hard.

"Aren't Gio gonna be teaching some sense on you once more for pushing yourself on things you never really wanted in the first place?" Jade asked now sitting on the opposite chair from his desk. Jasper agreed with a nod.

"Gio? yeah I think he will. He's still my brother after all. You know what pressure did to him."

He looked away and stared into space at the entrance door of the classroom.

"And I guess he didn't want me to undergo that same method again."

Lunch came, Maggie was left all alone at the classroom. She was searching for her purse this time.

"Where is it this time?" She whispered, clearly getting frustrated about how frequently she is forgetful.

Good for her the classroom was dead silent for anyone to witness Maggie's carelessness.

"Do you have a habit of forgetting things from where you left them?"

Maggie closed her eyes to look at the boy who spoke. It must be really embarrassing for her.

"Here." Gulf handed her book to her.

Maggie has her eyes astonished once she took a sight on her book. It was now covered.

"I thought it was mine until I realized I have two books. It was yours." He says looking away but ended up staring at her eyes as well.

Maggie received her book. Still surprised, why does a gesture froze her at the moment?

"If you don't like the way that it is covered, you can crumple it back and replace it." He sighs.

"Thank you, also I'm sorry too."

"And no, I don't want to replace it. Its fine as it is." Maggie smiled and for some reason, she is looking at Gulf.

Gulf's heart skipped to beat.

Gulf put his hands back to his pockets, his polo unbuttoned showing his sage green undershirt.

He isn't that kind of boy who is tidy. He is cool and messy.

Gulf turned his back without saying a word. Anyone could have thought of it as rude but Maggie thought of it as a better walkout.

She resumed in finding her wallet when it was in her pocket the whole time. She laughed unhumorously.

She is preparing to leave fearing that lunch time will be over. But she can't seem to evade her thoughts about the book that was returned.

'To be honest, he was kinda cute.' And left.

She never knew how much it will make an impact on her life after that book fate.

Maggie and Keji walked past each other who ran to call "Nathan!" Keji called out to him.

Nathan is walking his way towards his car.

When Keji successfully called out his attention. Nathan watched as Keji is walking towards his position.

"You called?" Nathan asked. "Someone-I mean she asked me to give this to you." Keji said, giving him an envelope.

"She?" He asked. What is this.

"Yes a she, maybe that is some kind of love letter for you."

Earnestly, this wasn't entirely the first time that Nathan received love letters. He was used to it but as the same old feeling, it always makes his heart tender.

As for Keji, he looked up to Nathan not because he is his senior but mostly he see his deceased brother in him.

"God this chicks and their audacity." Keji scoffed mad about the thought he was asked to give something like he was Hermes a messenger in Olympus.

"Whoever she is tell her that I am very thankful to receive such endeavor." He said and tousled Keji's hair before he got inside his car.

'I wish I could thank this girl in person but I don't know what to say' He says once he finished reading the love letter indeed.

He suddenly thought about Maggie. 'Crap it almost crossed my mind, Yet I have to decide where to make this group activity together.' He thought.

He can't help but smile at the thought that Maggie is her partner in this group project.

'Why am I feeling so light and jiggy?' He covered his mouth and shrugged. It's a feeling we all know.

At that very day it was magical, to see two hearts slowly beating.
