genjutsu is the worst thing to train, taijutsu and ninjutsu are better, during the course of naruto's work, the agent realizes that genjutsu never resolves a fight and doesn't work on strong people, genjutsu doesn't work against otsutsuki, the MC doesn't even have doujutsu so why will he focus in genjutsu? if he was an uchiha that would be fine but he's not, genjutsu isn't that cool either
