Comments of chapter undefined of Bloodbound Devil (Multi-Cross, DxD, Rosaria Vampire, Seikon no Qwaser)
Ya irina not interfering earlier was defiantly forced by auther so his woman could awaken her sacred gear the only explanation i had before was them thinking shes a heretic for consorting with a vampire so they didnt care if she was hurt or tormented as long as she could still lead them to thier target similair to how they told asia to kill herself since shes a heretic in thier eyes but considering the interaction just now that isnt the case instead auther seems to have forced them to act out of character so she could get her gear also is it just my frustration at the fact that mcs girl is ina tuf spot and him not being there to help her or is this confrontation feeling to drawn out?
I think is a mix of both perceptions. Not disagreeing with your point at least. This part was meant for J to awaken her Sacred Gear, which was hinted from the beginning when Carl-Krassius met her at the bar. I could have written this part multiple ways, but I choose to add the two Heroines (Xenovia and Irina) early in the act so they would 'increase' the danger of the Lasombra Vampires. Take note, that both girls are younger than their start in DxD, and their convincion are still in process of growth. You might say that incidents like this one, were the catalyst of their growth. And for Xenovia it is because in the original cannon she loses to some 'Stray Vampire' and endangered her partner, resulting to her cutting her hair shorter. Well, at least I'm glad you pointed those divergences out. Not really a fan of naive FMLs such as Irina, or similar types of 'Go Happy Go Lucky', and for sure it reflects in my portrayal of her personality early on.
