This chapter really almost forced me to stop reading this fic. You have to be a really dumb idiot to make such promises. Not to mention the arrogant behavior of this old dragon. All respect for this decrepit old man has disappeared.

Nah while it's uncomfortable their reactions are reasonable. After all the stakes here are very very high which could result to either another nation falling or even the destruction of Teyvat. It's something that even Asmoday is afraid of so I don't think they even had a chance if it ever decides to go on vacation in that world.

But if you are watching it from the MC side, it's just as you said. I wanted to write it as a more knowledgeable guy (Morax), worrying about his friend (Kenshin) who doesn't know a lot of things in the world, and the contract was made out of concern for his well-being. Maybe as I wrote it I saw it too clearly on my mind that I didn't put it into the chapter. But your point of view is extremely valid. Maybe too much
