Bro its interesting story, dont stress yourself, you are doing this really well, just continue with you like the most, then in the future if you feel, like that the previous chapters are not good for you, you could start editing and with it you could find inspiration. Or researching history, for his inmortal life could give you inspiration, searching history+ mitologias etc, are a great way to kick that block. Good luck.

Personally agree with how you want to update the story think it’s the best way

So their are three things I wanted to ask about for this story u don’t have to answer but I would appreciate it Will there be any new species added to this universe to make it an AU? will there be different abilities that already existing species have, like how at the start of the show it depicted that vampires had powers similar to the ones in the books like how Damon showed that he could control that bird and manipulate fog? And finally and this one will be a bit out their but please bare with me, will the ‘getting physically stronger with age’ thing still be a little more apparent, I mean that was a pretty well established factor to establish the difference in strength between vampires and they made a bit of a plot while with it I don’t mean to rant but even though it does make a little sense with the emotional affect of power, I mean burst of anger or survival instinct have made people perform better in fights, I refuse to believe that’s enough for practically newborn vampires like Caroline or Elena to bridge the power gap between them and literally centuries older vamps like Kathrine or Damon who are way more experienced and have fully adapted to their mindsets as vampires and how to make the most of their power
