The situation with Haley feels incredibly forced. From being in this class in the first place (not allowed to test out of the class for some extraordinary reason) to how they interact with each other, etc. In reality, these people would have NEVER met under any circumstances so I find it kind of funny. It seems as though just because this is a Modern Family fic, the MC is required to interact with these specific characters even if reality must warp until it somehow happens, no matter how illogical it is.
