I think Dash's family is just being strict to him so he won't be spoiled, but as we can see his parents always give attention to him when he needed it and help in the background, I'm not saying it's a model to follow this kind of parenting, but if it works then why not, I would prefer if the one is strict and the one is loving to the child so it can balance

whenever dash meets the parents I swear they remind me of Willson Fisk and Valentina from the marvel comics they sound just so cold and detached ya know only accepting success and nothing less truly eerie bro 😗
