The story was soo good but the Alysaane part and MC no moving past her death and him keep simpimg after rhiden…something despite she killing his lover is honestly… pathetic
You are right but not completly. Your love towards your parents is diffrent than love towards your partner. Some would say that first one is " more pure" but its not realy what i want to say. My point is that romantic/ erotic love have stages ( pls google it cuz i dont know how to explain it shortly). Edric relation with alysanne is on first stage, when the hormons are at their peak , when you dont see anything wrong in ur partner. Its more Passion and lust. Between shogun and edric is more attachment than Passion i think. Aside from that, maybe you know witcher; last wish book. Geralt makes a wish to love yenefer and vice versa( djin/ jin grants it ). They always fight, break up and comeback eachother. Maybe something simmilar is between edric and shogun.
41_Claws:Bruh… let’s suppose you’re right… but if we take this scenario in real life for example you love two people suppose your mum and dad. You love your mum the most and your dad a little less… now imgaine your mum(whome you love the most) kills your dad(the person you love a little bit less). Would you ever able to forgive your mum much less in few months
i really liked this story, when it began, now I am not sure. after he became the king, whenever i feel like there is progress happening it just regresses back to the original. in this chapter as well, when he stopped being her retainer, i thought maybe something good will happen, but then you got the GOD guy to tell him that they will end up together. maybe thats what you want us to believe, maybe it will become a plot point later, that he will grow stronger than him and break out of the shackles of them ending up together. i duuno, just that at this point, the obsession with raiden feels very forced. she did something unforgivable, she should bear the consequences of that for a lifetime.
I kinda like this toxic relationship between shoguna and edric. There are many possible outcomes. Also for those who says this doesnt make sense - edric for long time was alone. Then shogun arrived and was there for him in every single second for many years. I think it become normal for him to , if not forgive then at least overcome Alysane death. I mean if someone is with you always and you are used to it so much you will care for them no matter what they do , even if it hurts you. Also if we treat Raiden Shougun as godess and edric as beliver we can came up with answers: he is a fanatic. Or something idk. All of this are just some random thought i decided to share with you
