If the MC reaches level 9 with 999 in all his statistics at all levels he would have 44,955. Compared to someone who has 1500 at all levels, that would be 67,500. equivalent to level 9 mc fighting a level 12 adventurer. I find it absurd. (if my math doesn't fail 🤪)
