Well actually the length of shells can differ even within the same caliber, and different barrels are designed to withstand different powder loads pressures and temperatures, there is a reason why guns in the same size can preform so different. And the moment you get into guided munitions the more logistics heavy equipment that require specific fire control and launch systems nothing is going to cross over between factions.

He has been here for a week and we know he didn’t do anything the first day and can infer it took a few days to plan the construction yet he is already 60 percent done which sure I don’t know how fast a modern military can build a road the issue is if it took like 5 days to reach this point why will it take 5 more days to complete the last 40 percent.

Actually not very useful in a zombie apocalypse unless they get super mutants or somethin, slow firing cannons just aren’t as useful against hordes as an autocannon.

There are not defensible structures than a school building. Not to mention an urban area is just asking for you to miss a zombie in a room or window and get ambushed.
While obtaining resources is important, occupying a stronghold is the most important task.
