I don’t think Professor X and the others would be obsessing over his lifting strength at this point. They’ve been around a lot of amazing mutants. They wouldn’t be impressed this early on. They’ve seen Blob, Collossus, Juggernaut, and tons of others stronger than the MC. If you want to judge the potential of an ability, Storm could potentially end the world by affecting the world’s weather patterns. Professor X could kill every human on the planet telepathically. Ice Man can plunge the world into an ice age. Do you really think they’d be discussing his abilities with such reverence?
