Hi, loving your work. Here's to hoping that Brom gets his face kicked in and the MC finally makes his escape. I’m just hoping that you’ll go through with the idea the MC actually leaves and finds his own way, but hey this is your story and you’ve been great, please keep up the great work.
Instead of Brom being his “mentor” he should try to apprentice under Angela, Tenga or The keeper of the Tower. All extremely powerful/ knowledgeable magic users who are not elves or those taught by them. And those who only watched the movie and say Angela is not powerful. Know this in the books she says it’s hard for her to wield the energy of magic. Yet she owns/ made a dimensional blade and can temper with the flow of TIME. And her teachers that we know of were Tenga and the keeper of the tower. She also never finished her apprenticeship with either.
