If the skill requires the system to work how did the witcher without a system use it? Copying it should work just fine. Also I don't get why he is obsessed with becoming a witcher, he just pointed out that witchers are not as good as armys, so focusing on being a Lord would be a smarter idea. Or focus on being a mage to be powerful and live longer.
