For everyone getting the wrong idea in the comments, go back to chapter 47. Nick clearly tells the Dreamer, "You are allowed to feed on him for 8 hours, if he survives he will work with us, if he doesn't, it will just be me." (paraphrased) Wyntor did not tell the Dreamer to kill him.
