No way. This comment does not go in that direction. I'm just saying that a story that isn't a "romance" hasn't revolved around romance. These are often invasive elements in fanfics that end up devouring more and more scenes to the point that we only see that. The reason being that when fanfic authors start with their MC's romance, they are unable to stop and practically neglect the rest of the story. I've seen this happen too many times to not get annoyed by it after a while. If we can push the romance back as far as possible or make it only a minor element in the story, the fanfic will remain qualitative.
