Honestly this is a pathetic school for training humans. Under the pretense of showing the cruelty of the world. Rather than training the elite to utilise their potential, all they do is play stupid political games and force everyone at mediocrity. The literal benefit so far to Atticus was advanced training rooms with all elements, and exposure to different families abilities in the simulation room and outside.
Alright, I can’t deal with this anymore. The whole pretense of the school being ridiculously cruel for no reason. Unrealistic in its “training” methods that make zero sense. All this does will just raise Atticus, through the magic power of plot armor, to survive barely and become more and more of a villain. I’m really tired and upset with the whole “nerf” the Mc down to nothing instead of the progressive building up you had been doing. It seems like you’ve just completely lost sense of the original direction you were going with the story once we got to this school and none of it makes sense for humanity’s benefit. It’s just idiocy on every level of thinking this is a benefit for humanity. Honestly, I was really curious how the story would advance and you really started out strong with the camp disaster and the cool ability of Atticus with the sword, but I’ve gotta stop wasting my coins on this story now. Sorry bud but you’ve just gone in a different direction and he barely even uses his katana at all. Every powerup he gets just doesn’t matter if you strip them away and if he plays around and only uses elements to fight with. You even made the suit have such a downside that he doesn’t even want to use it. Theres too many negatives here. I’m done. I’ll let the door hit me on the way out but sorry man, I just can’t keep reading this.
Ngl, the plot progression isn't bad. I just have an issue with the author's execution. More specifically, the use of suspense. We have no idea what the teachers and Isabella ended up deciding to use for the competition. In one chapter, they were discussing and in the next, the competition starts. We see bits of Isabella's thoughts on how it would go and we see the obvious provocation of the vice principal towards the mc. This heavily implied that atticus would be targeted. At reading the end of this chapter, it seems as though the other students have access to their suits and four of them happen to target atticus. We didn't even get to know the rules of the competition You see, since we, the readers are kept in the dark, it's easy to have this misconception. This leaders summit is sub important... Atticus winning it is a forgone conclusion, so hiding the details this much is really frustrating and unnecessary The impression we get from the school now is... "we can do what we want and there's nothing you can do" . At this point, the competition is just seen as unfair towards atticus even if that might not be the case. For all we know, at this point , regardless of the contract, the teachers could use certain loopholes to attack atticus.
I really like the idea of setting everyone back to the same lvl here! This promises to show that Atticus is simply better than the others and not only stupidly overpowered. But man after your description of Atticus's trouble dealing with the fireballs, the only way i see others "survive" them is if you actually have a death counter and dieing only resets you instead of kicking you out of the competition (or you have multiple lifes). If it's not that, i really hope we get a description of them dealing with the fireballs in their own clever ways and not only being told that they somehow made it or had WAY easier starting obstacels. Because from what we've seen of the others up until now they should've been wiped '^^
