I don't know what the rest of the story will be like but this beginning broke me. If I were in MC's place I wouldn't be able to move forward in life, bro, he lost everything and can't do anything, just thinking about his mother dying alone in that bed makes me cry. I wouldn't be able to live happily with a new family as if nothing had happened, it would be like spitting on all the love from his old parents.

only thing I found annoying is you went to medical school for the 4 years but somehow dropped put? it only take 4 years the 4 years of residentsy then 4 years to specialize correct? so after 4 years you can work In hospital. unless thats wrong?
