I had to think about this for a bit since my knee jerk reaction is to say charmander but that's used too often for obvious reasons (its awesome). So I've left trying to think of a pokemon that's not used too much, has a versatile movepool to learn, as well as being suitably powerful and I came up with totodile. If not that then maybe a gible, I thought that might be a bit much but just throwing it out there.
