I am never one for wanton destruction... but may i just say...

Sasuke to take over the Akatsuki next???

I think Sasuke was justified. Would I have gone about it in this way? No. But I can understand it. Hiruzen supported Danzo in the destruction of an entire clan, including innocent women and children - and even the elderly and civilians. It was a genocide. In canon, the only “punishment” Danzo received was officially disbanding Root. It was a punishment in name only because Danzo kept Root operating. So Danzo got away with killing all these innocent people. I think that’s very telling. I think Hiruzen just wanted Danzo to do the dirty work.
