thanks for the chapter. pretty good chapter, it really shows both tactics and the emotional baggages and risks in war. war is not a video game after all, its cold and corrupted. pretty good, i was expecting some of the local inhabitants would be forced to fight for the japanese in some of the holds in the villages. can you experiment on how a siege can be taken place, like butuanon troops fell into bamboo traps, both japanese and butuanon perspectives in fighting in harsh weather conditions, a somewhat beginning interms of the japanese implementing small trenches (tho back in the philippine american war the was also used), maybe a butuanon squad sieging a wooden house that has a japanese placement in, a newbie japanese soldier made a mistake in throwing a grenade, and accidently blew him or his comrades, maybe soldiers interacting with POWS (Prisoners of war), or lastly a famous scene where japanese and butuanons fought hand to hand combat nothing but swords and knifes (which sets a pretty familliar tone). those are the ones that i can think off, that might give you some ideas.
