This feels like wasted effort, its basically canon plot with very very very slow changes to Clark. Thanos was genius, technopath, smart. MC can't use it to create something and develop a company? What is the MC doing? He is literally there only to exists with Clark to change Clark. We literally see nothing else from the MC, no alone time, no time away from Clark, nothing he thinks or plans, he is just there pointing things out at times, dealing with the enemies to change Clark. What is the point of this novel? I get it could change and improve but its 28 chapters, long chapters, of canon story with small minor changes, how many more chapters before the MC actually feels like he has a personality?
That's what frustrates me about this novel, It seems like i'm watching Smallville again but with another character. The entire plot revolves around pathetic teenagers in puberty doing what teenagers do best (frivolities). It wouldn't be a problem if Mc did something useful and broke out of this routine, but it seems like he's just a complement to Clark.
