Woah, a smart FMC?! I'm liking the current pace of the story - establishing characters, world building and potential for corruption. Slow pace usually doesn't work with amateur authors since interest wanes/IRL circumstances changes. But given your 100+ chapter story, I have more faith.

Everything is developing nicely. Too bad there are so few chapters. I remember that the previous job had 2-3 chapters a week at the beginning.

I wonder... if this going toward Clara making a deal with Alice on protecting Alex while one of them wasn't around. That would definitely get Alice's hope up even further, enabling her to go even further for Alex. Maybe, even at the cost of herself... After all, Alex is 'kind' and will 'accept' her.
