Skyrim has got to be one of the worst places to go. Not for the story mind you, there are lots of interesting things to do there. I say it because of the amount of things that could mess up your soul. From a dips**t with a black soul gem, a bored daedric prince, all the way to Alduin eating your soul.
Having the multidimensional stuff brought up in the first chapter, I feel it takes the wind out of the novels sails and makes the novel feel episodic. Now as I read I can't help but think, 'how long is the MC gonna stay in this universe? With these choices and consequences? 100 chapters? 200?' What if 'Robert' came to the MC after he becomes OP in skyrim and offers to help him travel, instead of having the first chapter put a ticking timer on the universe you 'sold' this novel to people with.
Add system tag. Really, I have seen other good quality Skyrim novels but with no cheat, ie lots of plot armor, I wrongly assumed this novel is the same so didn't even try reading. I tried now because I was running out of things. The tag basically says: This MC has some cheat. Because otherwise, any human going to another world 99.9999999% will end up being just another average, just like on earth.
I’m not too familiar with the game/world as I only played it sparingly and that was offline… but I guess if you can’t be dragon born it’s best to pick a race with a better advantage than a Nord… but seeing as Skyrim is chock full of Nord nuts I imagine being a dunmer orphan is going to be tough (or maybe just annoying). Hey you…
