I am loving the true essence of the antihero that Rhain is. He is not in some innocent or blind denial. He is choosing actively not to follow the truth because his interest is not there. That takes another level of determination and cunningness. Even coldness. I always thought that these creatures who live long and remain very humane was unrealistic. Rhain shows that while he does have a caring side, he is also dark and enjoys terror. He is vampire. A true predator and that makes him realistic, complex and very interesting to read about because now there is real change to be seen and look forward to. There is also a long road for Daisy as she won't have a "normal" husband. I feel like these short stories is truly bringing out the best in you, jasmine. I am so invested and sucked in. Well done 👏 ❤️❤️❤️

Caring or not (but he's more of the caring side), I still love our Rhain🤭❤️ That continuous banter with Daisy is what's keeping him sane and alive😊 That's what he's been craving for and only Daisy can give him that.😊 So loving our Daisy, she might be getting mixed emotions based on Rhain's actions now but a part of her still believes the truth in him. She's giving him the chance (I guess for this relationship to prosper) She'd have to get more truths from Rhain though. And yay, here comes the adoptive father😬 I think I'm more nervous bout this visit than Rhain and Daisy's banter.Just tell her you care about her,Rhain! (Daisy will know if it's a truth or lie)tack Jazzy💕, such fine writing👏👏

Daisy is on to something, and I am living for it! She is picking up the small details and the "guilt." I think she is on point there. There are more hints about Rhain's past that I would love to dive into. This might have been the first time we didn't get to see the history of the ML early, but hints are beginning to appear.

Our “sweet” Daisy is the kind of woman Rhain needs. He wanted no dowry; however, he got much more than he had anticipated. I can hardly wait to read about how the couple will behave towards each other in the presence of Rhain’s adoptive father.

It’s good to have this out in the open. Clears the road from kept secrets in the relationship. Unfortunately, it’s a tough subject.

I wonder if Daisy will use this visit to her benefit, to rile Rhain up more. I like her sassiness and refusal to back down!
